He laughs, wipes a tear from her cheek, and says, "It's ok...that's what happens when you're.....you're...."

He said nothing more, and besides, he was just assuming what was wrong anyway.

She looked at him, and said, "Well..then, I guess you best get back to your lovely wife"

Nodding, he said, "I should, yes. Are you ok?" She smiles, saying, "Oh yes, Im fine"

"Let me know what the doc says, yes?", he said.

She nods, and says, "Ofcourse"

He smiles, and slowly walks back inside.

Ace comes back out, and says, "All better?"

She laughs, and says, "I'm sorry"

"Think nothing of it. Now come on back inside. There is a song playing we need to cut a rug too", he said, smiling.

They walked back inside, as Makensie thinks, What a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

** One Month Later **

Makensie could not believe that it actually took one whole month to plan and organise the "honeymoon" but she shrugged off that thought. After all, between The Sirens, DPI and Hunter's Academy there were many leave requests to be granted, and time off to be planned and given.

Violet and Mak both managed 15 working days off, whilst Clift and Ace got 20 each. They all met at the Harbour to Board a luxury cruise ship to New York.

The honeymoon was going to be spent between a luxury cruise and a New York City delight trip which would include a string of lively shows, entertainment, restaurants and other leisure activities.

Violet's brother Leopold, Clift's sister Vivienne and Ace's sister Scarlett would also join the gang when the ship disembarks at New York. It was to be a holiday of a lifetime for all included.

Makensie was wearing a knee length light green dress and had a large white hat on as she was boarding the ship. She felt somewhat dizzy on the way up where she was greeted by Violet.

"Why, Miss Brewer," Violet greeted her heartily and loudly. As they hugged Violet whispered into her ear, "You are starting to show by the way, Mak..."

Makensie suddenly blushed.

She had gone to the doctor in London and he confirmed her pregnancy to her around a month ago after she left Clift and Violet's wedding reception. She looked to her tummy and wondered: it was still flat.

Violet quickly said. "Not your stomach. But anyone who looks at you can tell." Miss Parr winked. "There a certain glow about you and your cheeks are rosier and you generally seem healthier as well."

Makensie shrugged. "Thank you for the compliments Violet. Are Clift and Ace here yet?"

"Not yet." Violet held Mak's hand and escorted her to a plush seating area on deck. "Did you tell Clift yet?"

"I didn't get the chance to, he had to travel to Shanghai to sort out the vacation from his agency... but he knows. I know he knows."

Violet nodded. "Yes, he knows, I know... even Ace knows I am sure. You still need to find the time to tell him and sort this out.”

“I know...” Mak looked to the sea before them.

“Makensie, I am serious. You must be two months along by now and I’m only about a month and a half ahead of you. This means we will probably give birth at around the same time. The three of us need to sit and have a chat and decide how this will be handled. After all, our children will be siblings... We also need to include Ace in the conversation.”

“Ace...?” Mak was surprised.

“Indeed.” Violet nodded. “He is a great friend to us all and is very impartial about all this. We need his common sense and input... besides...” She added. “We better start grooming him along with Clift for all the baby sitting we will require in the near future.”

Mak chuckled merrily at that and Violet nodded politely.

Clift was struggling with one of Ace's bags.

When he offered to help Ace with his luggage, he had no idea the suitcase would be so heavy.

As he dragged the huge thing he said. "I hope you don't have any bodies in this one, Tony!"

"Not to worry, Clift!" Ace yelled from behind. "I wouldn't trust you with the bag if I had a body hidden in it!"

Clift turned to Ace and gave him a confused look, and Ace laughed.

By the time the two got on board the ship they started looking for Miss Parr and Miss Brewer. Mak and Violet were nowhere in sight. Clift turned to Ace. "Well, I guess we're either here first, or they are waiting for us somewhere around here."

They checked their luggage into reception and started walking around the deck.

"Clift," Ace started. "Remember the last time we were together... at Vi's party... Mak was acting strange... getting dizzy spells and acting very emotional."

Clift turned to him with a raised brow, "What are you trying to say?"

"Could she also be pregnant?!" Ace wondered.

"I believe she is, Ace, she just hasn't decided to tell me about it yet..."

"What are you planning to do about it?"

Clift stood and faced Ace. "Well, I will of course support any decision she wants to make... It will be very hard with both Mak and Vi.. You know me, I am not the committing type, I enjoy my fun and good times..."

Ace rolled his eyes. "Yeah, we all know that..."

Clift started thinking. "I wasn't ready for a serious relationship and now I am getting two children all at once... well, on the bright side, I always wanted a strapping, healthy boy... now I could get two!"

"And the only worse thing is two girls..."
"Ugh," Clift replied, "Don't even say that! Two sons! That's me!"
"Well, I know I'm glad I'm not wearing your shoes." Ace explained, "Sons or saughters... I mean... dons or daughters, grrr.... SSSSons or DDDDaughters!" Ace chuckled, "I would hate to be already married to one and find out that there's another."
"I do hate it. Especially now, on my honeymoon. How's a boy going to figure out that his daddy has lady friends? How is this supposed to go?"
"I don't know, but I know this," Ace paused, "Anything... anything at all... if you need it, I'll try to help you in any way possible. Even if it means changing diapers."
"Thanks Ace, I guess there is something you can do for me."
"You name it, I'll do it, m'friend."
"Ace, I want you to marry Mak.
"If I had been drinking, I would've spit it all out! Marry Mak? You mean another paper wedding?"
"I know you had nothing to do with my idiotic wrongdoings, but you did offer to help, and the boy needs a father figure. Or the girl needs someone to keep her from putting on makeup."
"Clift, I don't know... this also means raising a family with Mak. I can't marry her to give the child a father and that's it. No, no, Clift, this is going to be something we're going to have to talk about... we... that's me and Mak."
"Well, thank you for at least considering it."
"Well, I do like Mak... but I've always wanted to take things slowly with a woman. I haven't even seen Mak in a bathing suit, as yet."
"Well that will change, I guess."
"It will if we get married! That's why I have to think about this! And talk to Mak! And talk to my sister! Maybe even your sister!"
"Why not everyone? Don't leave Leopold out! Or, how about Madhuri Parr? Go tell her her new son-in-law is a player!"
"Oh, I'm sorry... I'll leave your sister out." Ace chuckled.

Before Clift could respond, they had met back up with the girls.

Violet and Makensie were discussing baby names, and laughing at some of the ideas they were coming up with, just having a good time.

As they were, Clift and Ace walked up, as Violet and Mak both turned to greet the men.

"You finally made it. You men are always so slow", Makensie said. Violet looks at her and chuckles.

Clift smiles, and says, "Hey! You should see how heavy Ace's one luggage is. I think he put everything but the kitchen sink in there"

Ace said, "I always go prepared, what can I say?"

Makensie smiles, then thinks about what she has to tell Clift. Clift looks at his beautiful wife, as she is talking to Makensie nonstop about girly things, then he looks at Makensie.

I know she is pregnant, he thinks. I know she is....look at that beautiful glow about her.

Ace smacks Clifts arm and knocks him out of his thoughts, and says, "Are we going to just stand here or we going to start living it up?"

Makensie heard him, and says, "I think I am going to my room, to put my bathing suit on, and go for a swim."

Violet smiles, and says, "I am right behind you"

"Excuse us, gentleman", they both say, as they walk off.

Clift looks at Ace, and says, "Here's your chance, buddy. You get to see her in a bathing suit. Now you have no excuses" He starts chuckling, as Ace joins in.

Minutes past, as Makensie and Violet return. They both wore full piece suits. Makensie had a black bathing suit on,with the color of teal running through it on the sides. Although Makensie might be showing a LITTLE bit, she still had her shapely figure and f elt quiet comfortable in wearing a bathing suit.

Violet, ofcourse, had a violet colored suit , solid color, and looked dazzling.

Clift and Ace just stared at them, as Clift said, "Well, Ace, my man, I believe we are the luckiest men in the world"

Ace couldn't say a thing, as he stared at Makensie and Violet, but his attention then went to Makensie.

Clift walked to Violet, and said, "Well hello, pretty lady" She smiled, and said, "Oh, please, Clift" She chuckled.

Makensie put her towel down on the chair, and said to Ace, "You going to stand there or are you going to go get changed, and come for a swim?" She smiled, and suddenly felt a bit shy.

She had a bathing suit cover-up with her, and she slipped that on, as she organized her things she had with her.

Ace said, "Hey, you dont need to cover up. You look very good" She shakes her head and laughs.

Since it was just the two of them at the moment, he said, "Mak, ummm, I have something I want to talk to you about"

She looks at him, with all seriousness, and said, "Oh? Everything ok, Ace" Ace isn't what you call a serious person, so, if he wants to talk, it has to be important.

"Are you pregnant?", Ace asked, just coming out with it.

She put her head down, then looked back at him, and said, "I am...but, I havent told Clift yet, although, I am sure he has an idea that I am, so please don't tell him. I need to do that"

"Of course, ofcourse. I am only asking because...well...."Ace started, then stopped. He didn't quite know how to say what he wanted to say, then decided that maybe later would be a better time.

"Ace? What is it?", she asked.

Ace chuckles, and says, "Actually, I will wait until a more appropriate time to discuss. Now, lets just get ourselves settled, and have fun"

She looks at him in question, then says, "Ok, if you insist"

Clift and Ace went to change out of their clothes.

Violet says to Makensie, "Do you plan on telling Clift?"

"Oh yes, I do, I just feel awkward choosing to do it while on YOUR honeymoond", Makensie said.

Violet smiles at her friend, and says, "Don't feel awkward, Mak! You know this is all for looks. We are all great friends, like family, and it is ok by me, that you tell him while here. In fact, I dont think there is any better of place to do it"

Makensie nods, then says, "Ace has something to discuss with me , as well"

"Wonder what that is all about?", Violet said.

"No clue, but I am sure I will find out", Makensie said, smiling.

Violet looks at Makensie, and says, "You should've seen how Ace was looking at you"

"Oh stop! More like, how they were looking at YOU", Makensie said.

Violet laughs, and said, "Ok, both of us. So we are a couple of pregnant beauties"

They laughed heartily at that, as they sat back on their chairs.

This was going to be an exciting, interesting vacation for them all, Makensie thinks.

“That wife of yours is so cold I almost took her for a stiff, hehehehe!”

Clift slowly turned around with a perplexed expression on his face. He was quite sure there were only one client and the bartender when he came in to order drinks from the deck bar. So who could this person be talking to? Indeed, the man sitting at the bar was staring straight at him.

Normally in such a situation his first reaction would’ve been to grab this guy by the collar and punish him for his impertinence, but this direct approach left him somehow astonished. Clift slowly measured with his eyes the man in front of him from head to toe. He was a middle age fellow with quite a heavy build, although not fat, wearing what seemed to be an over worn stripe suit which used to fit him sometime in his early years. A large hat pushed over towards the back of his head revealed a bald start of his hair. The scars on his eyebrows and flat nose led Clift to believe that he was looking at a boxer…and not exactly one of the successful types. Nothing about this man was fitting in this first class scenery.

Although he felt an urge to wipe out that annoying smile on this man’s face, he decided to handle the situation in a civilized manner. After all, he WAS on his honeymoon and Violet WAS EXTREMELY mindful of keeping her high class image unstained, which obviously excluded the idea of starting any kind of bar scuffles.

“To what I owe the “honor” of this insolence, may I ask?” he whispered through his lips making strong efforts to keep his temper on a leash.

“She’s hard not to be noticed in that purple bathing suit, ain’t she?” The smile on the man’s face got even wider while taking a long look across the deck at Violet.

“I fail to see your point!” Clift felt his blood starting to boil.

“Now settle down, lad! Take it easy, I didn’t mean no disrespect. Your lovely wife dropped this on her way up the stairs, but when I tried to give it back to her she treated me as if I don’t deserve even the time of day. Here…”

He handed Clift what seemed to be a wrinkled note.
