Detective Biography

Clift Garrett was born the third and youngest child in a family of three, the son of William & Elizabeth Garrett. Clift was always treated as the baby of the family, although only eighteen months separated him from his sister Vivienne.

William Garrett, Clift’s father, worked successfully as the Vice-President of a local Bank and met the family’s financial needs. His mother, Elizabeth Garrett, nicknamed "Garry-Beth", spent a huge part of her life and her husband's money employing various detective agencies and seeking answers to the mysterious death of her younger sister, Clift’s Aunt.

Since Clift spent the majority of his time around detective equipment, reports and cuttings, he grew up aspiring to be an aid to his mother, and relieve his father’s financial duties towards her obsession. Though Clift’s mother, Garry-Beth, never fully realised her goal of uncovering the circumstances surrounding her sister’s death, Clift recently dropped his acting career in Broadway and turned to sleuthing as a means to make a living.

Clift found starting out in the busy city very difficult. His mother raised him and his siblings as if they were aristocrats and, as a result, they lived a very sheltered life during their early years. Clift lacked toughness and street smarts but tried to compensate by relying on his intelligence and charm.

Now at the Age of 32, he recently joined Obelisk Inc. and is currently working under the tutelage of Mr. Jesse Hunter, a seasoned and experienced detective in a world that held all the answers Garry-Beth and many others sought.
