Okay. So your feeling pretty good and you open an Almost impossible case. You search the crime scene and, *gasp* 3 out of the 4 pieces of evidence are for your contact! Oh happy day right?! Wrong. It can take for-ev-er (whine that out like any normal three-year-old) to click three times though 11 suspects (and then it probably will be the 4th peice anyway) and I have DSl. I shudder to consider what dial up *shudder* have to go through. Don't worry I'm getting to my point.

Is there anyway a simple "Use contact to identify <insert evidence here>" link could be added to the screen? That would be really really neat.

I just use the back button on my browser to work down a list. Although some folks have said it can count as an extra question, it doesn't seem to for me, and since its your contact, it doesn't matter anyway.

While I use Dogberta's trick, I feel that it would be brilliant if this could be added. It can get a bit frustrating.

If this game is to reperesent detective work then not everything will be easy and occasionally you'll actually have to do some work. Just suck it up and click.

On a similar note, couldn't your contacts analyze unidentified physical evidence when you ask them about it? Something along the lines of "No, this is not Rudolph's footprint, but it does come from a heavy person" or whatever. After all, this would save time for everyone involved, right?

(Not that I ever have unidentified evidence in a case... *cough cough*)

I use my backbutton, also. The only problem I have is that messages can be lost to you if they are sent while you are backspacing.

LilRacch, are you talking about those PM's that pop up after you hit the back button, but disappear before you can see anything? If so, those tend to be the ghostly shadows of a PM that was loaded the last time you were on the page, and you aren't missing anything. Infact, if you do get a new PM, it will replace the shadow.

I would LOVE this idea!!! And I like blueberry hill's addition, too. I do the back button thing too, but it would still be easier to have this feature.

Blueberry hill's idea could work in the reverse for having smart modifiers apply to suspects - for example:

I went to see the victim's Best Friend, Fawn Barwarth. She was friendly enough, but something about her manner made me suspicious.
She was a slim woman with straight hair. I noticed that she opened the door and took my coat with her right hand.
Due to your observations, you know she could not have [made the first bloody footprint] | [left the thread] | [written the threatening note] found at the scene of the crime.

Ohh Milady that's a great idea!! It would really help the case for wearing smart gear at any other time then searching your crime scene! Also thanks to everyone for the back spacing idea, that's really helping...

but yea, those are some great ideas. but i doubt it would happen. like the other guy said, suck it up.
