Some of us have interesting reasons to pick a detective name. What is yours?

jstkdn which some people don't realize right away stands for JuST KiDding! It is something I tend to say a lot in real life after a lot of sentences. A good friend of mine in the US had jstkdn as a license plate of her car, so I wasn't that inventive myself.

My previous other agent was PM, which stands for Project/Program Manager, my profession in real life.

My only detective that I currently play with is freelancermountaineer. Only because Freelancer was taken. Sidney Bristow in the Alias series uses two call signs freelancer and mountaineer.

Hmmm... let me think...

Lynoria is a very beautiful name I created from the name "Annoria." While I was naming my detective, I was scrambling to remember "Annoria"... but I couldn't! So I just brainstormed for two minutes and got Lynoria after remembering how it was pronounced. I thought the name "Cavendish" blended nicely with "Lynoria," so I picked that.

And there you have it. Strange, but very well-thought. ;-)

Well my first detective was Lady Eileen. I love that name. I used it when I played the old computer game - Moonmist.
So when I first saw this site that is what I chose.

Then sadly, when she was retired, I chose my next favorite. Maddie Hayes, obviously because of the TV show Moonlighting.
I think it fits me now. Though the picture I have still makes me think of eileen.
I do love Grace Kelly though.

I just came up with the name out of the blue when I started. No particular story :)

The Limping Lady is one of my favorite historical figures. She was an American spy working behind enemy lines in France in WWII. The gestapo nicknamed her "the lady with the limp" because she had a wooden leg. She eventually learned to walk without a limp, and in doing so eluded the entire German army stationed in France. She was never caught!!

Well, Emerald comes from the fact that green is my color. I wear ALOT of green, have lost and lots of green stuff, my room is green, etc. etc. And Drew comes from the fact that Nancy Drew is my idol.
