That should be enough. This is one of two things:
1. You accidentally messed up.
2. It is a bug.

I didn't realize there could be fake alibis. When you ask the townspeople don't they always give you a correct answer to whether or not the alibi is real? How do you get fake alibis ex. please?

Yes. They do. Fake aliby means that the the townsperson says the aliby is not real, thus, fake. :)
