I recently found an awesome party/social game called "The Resistance" that my friends and I love to play. The premise is very similar to games like "mafia" and "werewolf"; you have a group of players, in which some of them are working against the group and have knowledge the others don't.

In "The Resistance", you are basically members of an underground organization known as "The Resistance" attempting to destroy the establishment. However, among you there are counter-agents, or "Imperial Spies" who are working to sabotage your efforts. The spies know who they are, as well as who else is a spy, but will for all intents and purposes appear to be working toward the goals of the Resistance.

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions". The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

Seriously... that vote is a contradiction of itself. I have a feeling a couple of people may just vote yes to everything? That vote makes no sense.

The only way that vote makes sense is............................. if both Jason and Illicit are actually spies. That's the only way it makes sense. Illicit doesn't want to be outed so she voted no. But the two other spies voted yes. Assuming Danny isn't a spy and really was doing what she thought she should.

Screw it. I'm going to let the mission go. You wanna know why? If Illicit and Jason are spies, and they vote to sabotage the mission, we will know for sure Illicit is a spy and both Cek and I have those cards so we can veto any mission later on that they are put on if it gets approved.

I'm going to leave it and let it ride.

ETA: Cek I think you should too. Our cards are probably more valuable later on.

Hmm, yes. I guess you are right about Illict, she could be a spy and then tell the truth about Jay but wouldn't it upset things more if she lied and said he was a spy?

So, I think they both are. I will take you at face value and I will keep Molly as resistance.

So:

RESISTANCE:

Me, Jason, Illict, Molly and you

which leaves

SPIES:

Biggie/Special K, M Lac and Cek.

Or swap Illict for M Lac. since he felt so strongly about being called a spy. Or was that because he is playing the game?

Right, who did you pick for your team again?

Why am I so into this game? lol.

OK Special K had to vote No. If she voted yes that would have been assinine because she supposedly "knows" that Jason is a spy.

Danny voted no because well, she said I told her to :-P Or if she was a spy, she voted No because she knows that all 4 people on that mission are Resistance.

Illicit voted no because????? 1. She doesn't want to be outed or 2. She doesn't trust Cek or me. She knows for a fact the identity of herself and Jason. So if she is Resistance, and she voted it down, it's because she is leery of either Cek or myself.

But if Illicit is Resistance and knows Jason is Resistance, I'm fairly comfortable that the mission is all Resistance. So that means at least one spy voted Yes to the mission knowing that there were 4 Resistance people on it. Which makes no sense.

Or am I putting too much trust in Cek? Is he really a spy and just playing a really good game? Assuming he's never played before though, I find it hard to believe.

I'm pretty sure Illicit is a spy. I'm also pretty sure she has to pass this mission even though she's a spy because if it fails, it makes it pretty clear that she is one.

Or is my base assumption about Cek all wrong?

*head spins*

OK I'm done. I promise.

I will let the team go as well, as I think we have 3 resistance operatives there for sure and one doubt only: Illicit. If this mission fails we know a spy for sure (Illicit). If doesn't fail, she is covering. :D
So, in conclusion, Illicit, you are a spy. lol

Serges, go on and do the talking with the mission before we jump on each others with sharpened blades.

Nicnic and Cekuray have both elected to keep their "NO CONFIDENCE" abilities for now, so the vote is final.

OK folks, its finally time to send the team on the second mission!

The team for this mission, once again, is:
Nicnic
Cekuray
Jason Arends
Illicit

A few key points to remember:
Resistance members MUST choose "Success", but Spies may choose either "Success" or "Sabotage". Also, it only takes 1 "Sabotage" to fail the mission. Lastly, when I post the results, I will NOT post who played what action.

Team members, please PM me your choices.

You posted fast your vote Jason and seems honest. A spy would wait and see the vote and the reactions. Now I am definitely convinced you are Resistance Jason. :)
Definitely nicnic, Cekuray and Jason Arends are resistance - any other discussions on these 3 are in vain. Definitely spy - Special K. Here, as well, no discussions needed. Let's focus on the other 4, where 2 spies are hiding for the time being.
