Hello all.
I'm fairly new to Sleuth and I thought I might share a little hobby of mine with you all. Here's something for that sad moment when the mysteries of the day are all done.
Thousands lay up gold within this house,
but no man made it.
Spears past counting guard this house,
but no man wards it.
What is it?

LilRach:
Question 1) 1900 or seven o'clock in the evening
Question 2) We have had this one before. There is no other dollar. The only relevant figures are the $30 originally paid and the $5 refund. The $2 in the clerks pocket don't relate to the original $30 and therfore make the sums come out wrong.

Sebastian and Marmaduke are identical, short-sighted, twins who are petty criminals. They regularly pretend to be each other to establish an alibi.
One day Marmaduke was spotted shop lifting and chased down a sunny street. He immediately ran to his brother in a nearby gloomy tavern. The policeman pursuing him was able to identify which twin it was and arrest the correct twin. How could he tell the two twins apart?

Sorry, that was a little unclear!
Each twin wears glasses as they're short sighted, and Marmaduke at least, has photosensitive lenses instead of sunglasses, which would be tan in the bright light :)
Or if he was really quick, he saw his pupils dilate;)

Lady Grey, you did get the second one right. However, 7:00 is not the correct answer.
I didn't realize we had already had the one, opps.

While exploring the wild highlands of Scotland, Crazy Rob was captured by hostile wood fairies.
Smazze, the powerful chief of the fairies told him he could make one final statement which would determine how he would die.
If the statement he made was false, he would be boiled in water.
If the statement were true, he would be fried in oil.
Crazy Rob found neither of this options too his liking, so he made a statement that got him out of this seemingly impossible situation.
What is the one statement he could make to save himself?

Is it, um... I think that you are hostile? Because, he doesn't think so, but maybe Smazze is so it's both! So, the two, oil and water are mixed, and therefore, their danger is diminished...
