Hello all.
I'm fairly new to Sleuth and I thought I might share a little hobby of mine with you all. Here's something for that sad moment when the mysteries of the day are all done.
Thousands lay up gold within this house,
but no man made it.
Spears past counting guard this house,
but no man wards it.
What is it?

Ok, I'm going for originality points here. :)
They walked to the cliff and skydived (or skydove; whatever it is) off the cliff. They pulled their ripcords and parachutes came out. They were never really stolen, they just ran away. They were found several towns away because they floated that way with their parachutes.

Or maybe they had jet-packs straped to their backs!

Looks like you have stumped us with the horses! And you were worried about your riddles being to easy! :)

Sorry it took me a while to get back to this, but Moonshh got it right. The second set of tracks had hoofprints closer together, due to its maker being either smaller (donkey vs. stallion) or walking backwards.
The rider on the donkey was sent on ahead to the market. The rider on the stallion rode up to the cliff, then rode backwards to make the second track and cleaned up afterwards.
