Yay! I have really been anticipating the World Cup... and now it's finally here!

Angola, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, Tunisia, Asia, Iran, Japan, Korea Republic, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Paraguay, Australia, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Serbia & Montenegro, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Ukraine, Costa Rica, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, USA...

I have no favorites... all of these teams are playing fairly well, and mostly all of the matches are fun to watch.

So, what do you all think? Which team is the best bet at winning the cup? Which flag do you have flying in the wind on your car? Which flag have you painted or drawn on yourself or on paper millions of times?

I am pulling for England. Knowing of course it isn't going to happen. :0) Have to root for team USA just because I'm sitting here in America. I was highly entertained by todays Korea-France matchup. I'm excited to see what the African countries are going to do. But i think it will come down to Brazil with Ronhaldino. I mean come on. They just have to take it.

Ok well Croatia and Australia dook it out in Group F for a place in the next round. Well unless we draw and Brazil tank it and Japan win like 4-0, but who thinks like that? *raises slightly shaky paw* Ah well if we lose, I'm jumping on the Croatian bandwagon. Next time they shoudl take all the Australian born Croatian players, and all the Croatian born Australian players and make a proper team. :D

3 red cards, two unnoticed hand balls in penalty area, and a ref that lost the plot in the last 10 minues :) Ole Ole Ole Ole. LOL!

Well I'm running out of teams to barrack for! Australia just went out 1 - zip to Italy (penalty in injury time :( another beautiful Italian swan-dive) And Netherlands is out. Waves tiny Portugese flag, go Figo.

Just when I was looking forward to the game Brazil-Spain, the French fraternity of seniority decided otherwise. What a bummer...

Even though Brazil-France seems like a waste of time, let's hope Kaka & Co do what they have to do and send that bunch of old stogies with fogies back home.
