I'm a youth leader and go to conferences fairly regularly. I've been away for this past week and my standing with the hood has gone down from 38 to 22. Is there some way PLEASE that a detective can take holidays??

Sorry, the daily decay of political standings is not likely to go anywhere. I want you to have to continue to work to stay in good standing, plus it makes it more reasonable to switch factions, if you ever want to do that.

I think what Marni wants is a vacation mode. Like you check it and it makes it so your standings don't go down. That way when you go on vacation (like I did) you don't lose 10 points (like I did). I would have liked this. I don't think it's too good of an idea though, no offense to Marni. This power could easily be abused unless you were to make it so when you are on vacation mode you cannot start/finish a case, post in threads, or do anything. However, when on vacation mode, maybe you could make it so if you are subscribed, you don't lose any days.

That's just my thoughts.

Or if you're in an agency, you could set to have cases stored as extra.

Maybe if you made it so that you have to be gone for more than 3 days, and while you're set as "On Vacation" you can't do anything, yes, but maybe if you even sign on within that time, your vacation is cut short by that much? Can't set those days you were supposed to be away as vacation again. Maybe? Did that make sense?

Actually jojo, I think it's a great idea that there are trips (mechanisms) in place so if one is LEGITIMATELY unable to access internet, then there is a "vacation" mode. And if one trips the parameters of that mode, then they forfeit any right to it.. Or is Ben just trying to keep us hooked??? I'm on to you Ben.. ;)

Yea.. This has been discussed before on another thread.

Someone was asking if it would be possible to NOT have a daily limit of 8 New Cases.

Where I can see where Ben is coming from, wanting people to play in moderation, and also making things more equal amongst players, I am really having a hard time playing even 3 or 4 cases daily now and I haven't even exhausted my first month of subscription.

This is very frustrating because I'm paying NOT to play my games. And not because I dont WANT to, but because I really cant afford the time with my job and study commitments.

For players like me who have to juggle a myriad of heavy commitments, I'd say, it would really make a difference if our cases were not reset everyday, so that we can cover more cases over the weekend, where we have more time.

I love that idea Marni. We should take it up with Ben.

Ben, we're on to you. We have you figured out...
Don't roll your eyes at me!...
Don't make me come over there!...
;)
What am I? His mother? ;)

Hey, cell phone companies now have roll over minutes, why not Sleuth having roll over games?

D.L. holds a huge, white signboard and marches around the Mayor's Office in City Hall chanting, "Rollover cases, rollover cases, rollover cases...."
