I was thinking...

If the OS, for example, sends me to the tailor, which is one of my contacts, to get information, shouldn't the tailor just give it to me and not make me answer questions? I am friends with him, and, so, I would think he would just give it to me...

Thoughts?

hmmm.... i like it. I had the fortune teller in delhi for a contact and thought that it would be great not to have to pay the 20 bucks to find out if i had all the suspects. (petty i know, lol)
so i'm all for this!!! probably won't happen though.

I think if you have FT, it should be free for that too!

Yes, it would make sense if your contacts were more helpful in other ways. However, this is a case where realism should probably take a backseat to game balance.

Having to correctly answer the little job questions is part of the game, if you want to do something that is dependent on a high faction score. And paying there needs to be some price for Consulting the Fates, just to encourage you to use that option wisely.

*sigh*

I thought that would be the response...

Thought I'd try!

Thanks for the input and response, Ben.

Even if you still have to answer the 3 questions for someone you have a contact for, you shouldn't have to twist their arm before they ask you the 3 questions.

"Oh, you want the secret information? Sure, but you still have answer my 3 questions."

As for me when a client, or townie I'm doing a case for is less than cooperative, I've always wanted to hold the threat of walking off the case over their heads.

I agree with that Akano. You want to shake them and say BUT YOU WANTED IT SOLVED!

and I know this has been mentioned before, but if you're doing a favour for say, the barber, he shouldn't clam up on you, as he asked you to help him

I had mentioned it before but realizing that it might throw off game balance I figured just holding the threat of quitting the case would be enough for me
