I was thinking...
If the OS, for example, sends me to the tailor, which is one of my contacts, to get information, shouldn't the tailor just give it to me and not make me answer questions? I am friends with him, and, so, I would think he would just give it to me...
Thoughts?

I can see the rationale for the Fortune Teller not giving away info just because he (or now, she) is your contact. It's like how my friend the massage therapist (sadly) does not massage me for free - she has to earn a living, too.
I understand the "game balance" point, but I still get caught up in the fact that it makes more sense when I am doing a favor for someone that they make an effort to help by answering all my questions.
If that's not a choice, then maybe they could clam for another reason, like "then that Shady guy from the bar appeared at the door, and as he walked in, Thaddeus hissed, 'sorry, but I won't be able to talk freely with this guy hanging around.' Disappointed, I left, knowing I would have to find my answers elsewhere for the duration of the case..."
As far as the little jobs go, the best solution in my opinion (unless it's too much of a pain for Ben) would just be that we not get little jobs with our contacts. Then we won't feel weird when we get the message that they don't trust us. And little jobs don't matter the way favors do, so if I never got them with my contacts, there would be no negative impact that I can think of.
