There will be 4 activities this week. All events start on Thursday, August 18, at 12:00 AM, SST. Three of the four events are continued from last week. Good luck. ;-)

1. Treasure Hunts - Week 2
This event lasts two weeks. You were given the instructions for this last week, so if you need to review them, please read the Second Week's Activities' thread. The scoring system HAS BEEN REVAMPED. All hunts are now worth 10 points, not 100. Teams receive 3 participation points for the FIRST six hunts they open and do one favor for in the correct categories. Once you have completed six hunts in the same categories as before, YOU ARE DONE. This activity ends on Wednesday, August 24th.

2. Scavenger Hunt - Week 2
This is the SECOND part of this event. You have one week to complete this activity. Please send a screenshot of your locker to Riza Hawkeye for verification purposes by Thursday, August 18, 12:00 AM, SST. All items on List #1 are INVALID after Wednesday, August 17, 11:59 PM, SST. You will be given a second list on the Sleuth Talk board. All items MUST BE COLLECTED IN ORDER, and screenshots must be sent to Riza as you collect each item. You have until Wednesday, August 24, 11:59 PM, SST, to complete this list.

3. Role Playing Essay Contest - Week 2
This event lasts two weeks. You were given the instructions for this last week, so if you need to review them, please read the Second Week's Activities' thread. Essays are due Wednesday, August 24, 11:59 PM, SST.

4. Twist/Closer Contest
This is a *TEAM* writing contest. One writer for your team is already assuming most of the responsibility for the Role Playing Essay, so DO NOT BUG THEM about this. The other 3 members of the team will submit ONE entry. Together, you will submit the idea and writing for ONE complete twist (and accompanying closer). Ideas and writing must be as fully detailed as possible. You must include descriptions of the twist's effects if necessary (gain faction standing, trigger Larry the Toe, etc).

Please post your twists here in the Third Week's Activities post. No, you don't need to submit it to the Sleuth Content area. And no, you don't need to use ''tags''. Just use ordinary names (if you can't think of original ones, use John Smith and Jane Doe), and the usual genders and pronouns. I'm hoping if they're good enough, we'll be using at least *SOME* of these twists in future cases. If and when that happens, the Editorial team will take over, and they'll deal with any needed tags.

As for the Agency Inspections, I will be announcing it when I ask for invitations for the Judges from the various teams, not before then. Sorry. For now, keep sprucing up your Agencies (scribble, scribble, dust, dust ;-). It's coming, just not quite yet. ;-)

*Chuckles at the idea of Squirrel bundled into a janitor's closet, or a rest room. Ouch, Squirrel. And I thought you'd moved up in the world. ;-)*

(Might wanna find him a corner suite this time around, Rick's. Just sayin'. ;-)

The new schedule is now up. Please note, all teams need to be in Shanghai by Thursday, 12:00 AM, SST.

Hope y'all can finish up your current hunts quickly!! And thank you to Chariots for the great Role Playing story!! That's wonderful!! ;-D

At that very moment a group of burly weightlifters came prancing by in ballerina shoes and feathered pillbox hats. They gingerly stepped around the body and gracefully glided down the stairs quickly followed by Sultry waving a butterfly net.

“Sultry's still trying to catch herself one of those hats, huh?” chuckled Sal. “Etain, you’ve got to come see this.” I followed Sal out of the hotel and we headed out to the Hertha-BSC football field. It was between games and the field was being used by clowns! I rubbed my eyes disbelievingly.
Apparently Adolf Hitler wanted an Olympic Clown Competition and Germany, Spain and Finland had sent their best. Choking on laughter we made our way back to the hotel in search of Autumn.

Sal and I went upstairs to the temporary headquarters grudgingly put at our disposal. Battered desks and wobbly chairs had been hastily shoved into an empty room. Autumn, dressed in a ladies golf ensemble, had commandeered one of them and was busy leafing through a stack of papers.
“Guys wait till you see what I’ve dug up! It seems the manager likes to dress up in a sparkly vest and black dress shoes and wander the hotel halls at night. I’ll bet he knows something." Just then, the door flew open. As I turned to look I felt a sharp pain in my arm. “You!” I cried out, “I should have known.” I cringed as the killer grabbed my arms and started shaking me. I fell into darkness.

“Come on, wake up sleepy head! We’ll miss the opening ceremony if we don’t leave now.”
There was that sharp pain again and I woke up to find Autumn pinching my arm for all she was worth. “What?” I mumbled groggily, “where am I?” Then realization hit me. We were in Germany to enjoy the 1936 Summer Olympic Games. “Oh my,” I scolded myself, “I should never have had that last Glennfiddich!”

We watched as the gray doves were released into the stadium, and the torch bearer ran by to light the flame.
I did a double take, were those clown shoes on his feet?
