Ventured into Kickstarter today and stumbled across a storytelling game that's trying to get funded. They're calling it "Ace Detective," and it features artwork from the old Black Mask magazines. I do not know anything more about it or the people creating it, but it has 19 days left to reach its goal, and I immediately thought of this gang when I saw it. It might be something you guys would find interesting.

I'd already been tempted to post on another gaming thought that dawned on me recently. I've been enjoying (though not yet playing!) an rpg book called "Spirit of the Century," where the conceit is that you build characters during the era of pulp adventure and weave stories during the 1920s. Revisiting Sleuth made me wonder if I couldn't build Rem using the character creation rules from the good folks at Evil Hat. Anyone else entertain these kinds of ideas?

I done been told this RPG is all about role playin'.

Me and mah Missy Sue we go on down to the bayou, do a little skinny-dippin, play a game we like to call 'beaver and the log-jam', but I'm not sure that's what y'all is talkin bout.

We done never used no dice.

I'd be happy for any tips you maght have.

Bucky - don't pretend you have a table. Y'all ain't so fancified. Two napkins on a taxidermied raccoon do not a table make, even if it died while praying.

Curious whether cfm's new "dice" are the subtlest reference to breast implants ever. Gives a whole new and far dirtier) meaning to the phrase "rolling snake eyes".

...In colder climates, anyways...
