Hello all.
I'm fairly new to Sleuth and I thought I might share a little hobby of mine with you all. Here's something for that sad moment when the mysteries of the day are all done.
Thousands lay up gold within this house,
but no man made it.
Spears past counting guard this house,
but no man wards it.
What is it?

A man and his wife go to get petrol. He locks the car when he goes to pay. He comes back after queueing for a long time, unlocks the car and finds his wife dead and a stranger in the car. There are no broken windows and the doors are all locked. How can this be?

She died when she gave birth to the stranger...well I'm just too late aren't I, oops... Llolly, you're too smart... and I utterly despise you for that... you are Satanic...BURN...BURN...need some ice for that, BURN....???.......jk,lol:)Or, if Llolly's answer is wrong (after I merrily rejoice), could it be that the stranger had a key to the car?

Sorry to disappoint Madame Giry but Llolly was right. This isn't so much a riddle as a ice-breaker. List the numbers one to nine down a piece of paper. Next to no 1 and 3 write two boys names, next to 2 and 4 write names that could be either a girls or boys name, next to 5 write a colour, next to 6 write the name of an animal and next to 7, 8 and 9 write song titles. I will post tomorrow what the pattern should mean.
