Anyway please feel free to discuss to your hearts content any particular idea that has been risen on the ideas thread.

PS I really liked Charlie's archnemesis idea.

In response to anais on editing posts.

I know somewhere, a long time ago, it was mentioned on the boards why Ben didn't want to add the edit/delete buttons etc.

It all boiled down to something like this. When you have edit and delete buttons it can ruin the continuity of threads....errr if anyone else can remember what was said now might be a good time to chime in :)

Well, if the mods had the power to entirely delete posts, that would be good too. :) Otherwise everyone is just stuck wondering what the heck was so bad that it got deleted! ;)

Re: Heim's bank idea: I think the interest rates etc regarding the bank should be simple, otherwise it resembles too much like RL and boy, i've already got a headache thinking about it.

I don't think I'd want to over-complicate any 'bank' idea. A very simple, you put it in for X days, it earns you interest after X days, you take it out. I'd not see the bank for loans. I think THAT is fraught with all kinds of problems. esp with subscriptions running out and whatnot. Hehee though I'd love to see a director put their agency up for collateral without telling the agency members and then have the bank foreclose.

I think having loans could be fun. You can only get so much money in a loan (tied to your exp, something like 1/20th) and if you fail to pay, some guys turn up and break your legs, stealing all the cash you have till your debt is paid, and losing you half your cases. It'd make people pay on time!

so what about this idea about separate chat rooms or more channels in bar chat, so that when people are copying and pasting their latest and greatest RP lot line for one and all to see (just in case anyone has forgotten where the RP Boards are of course) they can go to another channel and then come back when they are done. Or people might just like more adult company, or childish company lol. I can't imagine it's much of a programming difficulty. But is it a bit, cliquey, to create more channels to separate an already modest number of people in chat?

sorry * more* hosting a Vent server on another game, I know that most people end up in the 'foyer' coz that's where all the 'chat' is , and only one or two people slink off to do their own thing. So is it really worth it?
