In order to try to make a contribution to the improvement of Sleuth Noir, I have decided to give away 5 "prices" of 1 month gift subscription to 5 different sleuths that already have or during the next period will come with the best suggestion(s) to improve Sleuth Noir on one or more following areas:
* Doing something to improve the game-speed
* Getting more people to subscribe to Sleuth Noir
* Making Sleuth Noir more fun to play
* Something else the judges approve of

So, it's time to open that creative vein of yours, and come with suggestions and post them on this board. It's no part in the judging whether the suggestion will be implemented into Sleuth Noir or not, as this is for Sleuth Admin to decide. In my eyes, it doesn't even have to be your idea originally.

Even though I haven't asked them, I had hoped that a jury of
Jojo, Stooby, Roamie, Secret Squirrel and Lady Jas would voulenteer to search out the most worthy. I would be happy if you made a reply to this posting saying whether you accept or not. Please decide among those of you accepting the task how you would like to organize. You all seem to be active on the boards, and I do trust that you will be fair. You are also free to "adjust" the important topics, but I have put down my suggestions, and what I would like to encourage. Also, decide for how long the "competition" will last. Preferably less than a month.

I myself don't have the capacity to search out and find the good recievers of a gift subscription, that's the reason why I humbly ask those mentioned to join forces and help me with the task. I would guess (but may be wrong) that the "recivers" are less than 100 days old, as the older might already have long lasting subscriptions, and one additional month would be as a drop in the sea. Also, I think that the jury themself cannot be among the "recivers".

I hope that when the jury have made their decicion, they will post it here and send me a PM with the name of the selected winners

Eikichi, if you think its unfair then that tells me you like the game. If you like something......go for it. You've looked at the sub rates, you know its not expensive. Try 1 month.

And witha sidekick coupon the 1 month would be even cheaper!

We've heard that arguement before, Eikichi, by lots and lots and LOTS of people. Got anything more substantive to add? :-/

Stooby: if you judges agree on those you suggest to be "winners", I am more than willing to send them both a month gift subscription.

I notice though that Sir Butcher De Vie are subscribed and inactive, so it might be a question if he would be inspired by a gift subscription? It would be sad if he recieved a 1 month gift subscription, and did not log on during that period so that he could have joy of at least some additional cases...

Hannah Blue though seem to be unsubscribed but active, and logged in last time in the end of December 2007, so if someone were able to get contact with her, she might become a "return'er" ;-)

But, I have left to you judges in cooperation to find those you think are the "right" ones. Whoever 5 you decide, I have promised to send a 1 month gift subscription. Now that all the 5 judges seem to have accepted, I would be happy if you decided on the length of the period the "contest" would run, and also how you organize your cooperation.

Can I set the Judges the task of finding maybe the two highest unsubbed active players or who they consider worthy opponents. (Maybe admin could assist here).

Then i'm willing to cough up for the other two free subscriptions, maybe in the same time frame they set for huglover's 5.

Hope this is acceptable, if not any suggestions would be extremely helpful.

Ok ........... Take that as a no :)

So here's what i'm gonna do.

I'm going to watch the who's logged on board for the next two weeks, from todays date 8th, and nab the two highest unsubbed log ons that I record, who havent been subscribed before. 22nd Ill keep my word and pay for the two freebie months of inexpensive sleuthin'

Hope fully once they've had a taster they might continue to subscribe. Ya never know..............

Ill record the out come here.

I love this game but cannot play much, I do subscribe. I have told many friends about the game but they are cheap! I have done everything, well not everything to try to get them to sign up. Maybe, offer a t-shirt at a reduce amount if you subscribe. I would like that. I cannot remember how I found this site, darn it. I think I just stumbled across it.

I have come to the same conclusion as Mai Capome. The judges seem to not be willing to organize so much that they agree on how the judging are going to be done. Since there was 5 judges and 5 subscriptions to be given, they could have agreed on the most obvious to find one each... ;-)

But, I'll choose another strategy, somewhat similar to Mai Capome.

If Hannah Blue sends me a PM, telling that she want a month gift subscription, I'll send her one for her Ocean Liner idea. (Then she will at least know about the gift subscription, and may use it for some fun)

For the other 4, they will go to the first unsubscribed newbies who complies to the following guidelines:
* with age above 10 days
* with xp above 10 000 when 10 days old or 20 000 when 15 days old. Higher demands when older (xp + 25 000 > days * 3 000). I know that for an unsubscribed it's only possible with putting in quite some good activity, but it will be usable as a proof of showing interest in being active.
* wants to join an agency I will suggest, and become active there
(I will follow the recruitment board to seek good agencies that are hiring, looking for older agencies with more than 6 active players with at least 2 members with xp>300 000)
* make a posting here telling they would like to try to go for a free one month subscription. - hereby accepting the demands.

I might not be logging in every day, but I will try to be just.
When we pass the 25. of february (2008), I reserve the right to stop the offer, even if there have not yet been 4 winners.

When I find someone who qualify for the gift subscribtion, I will, as Mai Capone record them here.

Hugluver, Sorry I am not able to help out. I am no longer playing Sleuth and just pop in from time to time to see if the agency needs anything. I wont even be subscribed myself after the 16th. Good luck though in your contest. I think you have some great ideas and hopefully you will be able to hand out the subscriptions to unsubbed players.

Roamie: What was able to sidestep you?
I have seen that you have not made any xp growth recently, but I did actually hope that you were not hit by depression.

I somehow feel that there have come a slight kind of frustration over the whole of sleuthwille. It's like a feeling that the only thing that counts right now are Shades of Mystery, and Noir are starting to become second class. And, I don't think that the frustration we all feel with game speed makes the things any better...

I would hope though that you would stay with us and continue playing. As long as you are here, there are some goals to try to reach for someone, and some things to try to achieve. ;-)

I could hope and pray that you change your mind, and decide to stay with us for a longer period. :-)
