I'm hardly a Newbie, but I'm still not subscribed so I thought this is the right place to start: What else can I do except for solving random mystreries in NY and the eventual bone we get to chew on ("free scrypted mysteries")? I know I can't go on ether a Villain hunt (which I would love) or seek for lost treasures, so what is there left?

There's a certain hot spot you can go check out in New York that people in the other cities don't get to visit. There are the various factions that offer a variety of merchandise and skills to go after. You have the opportunity to build up your skills, uniform, and contacts through your casework and favors throughout New York. There are people you can visit at Empire Heights if you receive an invitation from them. And you have the various choices offered you here at City Hall.

Unsubbed people have a limited number of choices simply because they don't pay for the content, unfortunately. Sleuth is a for-profit enterprise, and like it or lump it, the creators and administrators of the site have chosen to offer special features to those who pay for the extras. Yours is not a new arguement, but it's one that's not likely to influence change anytime soon. Sorry.

Other MMORPG i have checked out (ogame.org, for instance) do have the same method, and I have to say I do understand it. It's a "for-profit enterprise" after all, but her you only get, say 20% of the action if you're not subscriber. On ogame you get 95%, and the subscribers actually get everything the same with a small advantage in play speed and such.

BTW, I have no way of subscribing, since paypal considers my country a threat.

I'm trying to create a sleuth paradigm whereupon the space time continuum is rent asunder...

Squirrel, it's working. I swear to god I just saw a red-vested Michael J. Fox drive by in a souped up Delorean blasting Huey Lewis (ugh, and The News, too). Now I need a new drug. And for some reason I wish my wife was named Mallory.
