Do specific questions to townies do anything?

When you're not working on a case, and you visit a townie, you can ask him a specific question. Is that in anyway useful? It seems that whatever I ask or type in, they always say :"I'm sorry. I don't know anything about that."

Unless you are hard of hearing. Or near sighted, or far sighted which ever is the correct one. Crunch can I borrow your glasses, you know, the coke bottle ones?

To get to Cairo you have to have hostage negotiation. I tried. :-)

I would like someone to pm me as well. I think they are helpful in treasure or villain hunts, but do they help any other time? And how can we find what the key words are?

Villain hunts, yes, in a roundabout sort of way, treasure hunts, no. There's a couple other times when the townies will prove quite helpful. They usually involve those pesky 'missions' that noone seems to be willing to talk about either. (Yeah, I know, big help there. :-) How do you find out what the keywords are? Two ways, really. For most people, if they're the detective sans pareil that they say they are, I'd say go find 'em. If you're not, pm somebody who'll tell you about them.
