As if it weren't bad enough that I'm up at 3AM and can't sleep, to top it all off I have a song in my head I can't get out. And so I give it up to you Sleuthy-types, in the hopes that it will infect you and leave me alone. Ahem.

You and I in a little toy shop
Buy a bag of balloons with the money we've got
Set them free at the break of dawn
Till one by one, they were gone

(cue groovin' synth)

(repeat ad nauseum)

My, that feels better. Anyone else need to purge?

oh Wynnie my dear, do you forget so soon that I'm a father now? Two can play this game:

This is the song that never ends,
Yes it goes on and on my friend,
Some people started singing it not knowing what it was,
And they'll continue singing it forever just beacuse...

Serges is the winner in my opinion.

*runs away still singing: This is the song that never ends,
Yes it goes on and on my friend,
Some people started singing it not knowing what it was,
And they'll continue singing it forever just because...*

IF I ever get this blasted song to stop, I will think of a way to get you back my friend.

Rule of thumb: never debate annoying songs in front of a Karaoke DJ. The DJ will win. Every time. :)

I've had 'In the Ghetto' all day. You know "On a cold and gray Chicago morn'
a poor little baby child is born, in the Ghetto."

But no not the version by Elvis.. the version by Eric Cartman from South Park, even with his backing vocals ... In the Ghetto (in the Ghettooo...)

copa my shiny ass (not that I didn't THOROUGHLY enjoy it, lol...Manilow had a Plan-ilow fo' shizzle)

One song in my head that I can't shake is the ice cream truck music. Yeah, that looks like: dadalee dada dadee da da da duh da DAAH dee DAH duh (don't even ask me what it would look like in soft-serve)

I totally get the kid songs piece. My wife is a kindergarten teacher. Sometimes I stop in to the classroom and say hi, get lunch, whatever. You really need to picture me walking in on 22 five-year olds howling this next song to fully grasp how surreal these upcoming lyrics are:

*22 five year olds voice*

I know a little pussy, her coat is dappled grey
She lives down in the valley, not very far away.
She'll never be a pussy, she'll always be a cat,
Cause she's a pussy willow, can you imagine that?!?!

meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow infinity until some kid steam-rollers some other kid on the carpet.
