Hmm, hard to say without knowing precisely which skills you already have, maybe if you could list what you have?

I will add that I think Advanced Hair and Advanced Thread are the basic things (along with foot and notes) that every detective needs early on. Knowing what you have at the crime scene is one great way of needing to ask fewer questions.

Greyling these r my skills so what would be your pick if u were in my shoes :

Hand Writing Analysis
Sweet Talking
Lock Picking
Interrogation
Rule Bending
Hair Analysis
Thread Analysis

R Anstett i agree with u i feel that Hypnotism is not needed as hair and thread advanced but i cant judge coz i cant understand what r the benefits of Hypnotism they say that suspects remember extra motives maybe this means that there will be suspects with more than one motive or it means that they will remember more suspects , is that right ?

Looking at your skills, I would say get none of those three...

Instead, get Advanced Rule Bending or Intermediate Sweet Talking. They are more important, in my opinion, than having advanced smart skills.

jojo227 actually i dont agree with u coz there r skills that help u narrow the wide range of possibilities its like cleaning away dust surrounding an image to get a definite image to me thats better than skills that help in guessing the image , u can call it negative-positive area theory ; )

in fact both r important and in someway help on both sides but i like working this way as decreasing possibilities = decreasing the role of luck , thats my priority .

Yes, Agent-1, but it won't do you any good to use that technique if you can't get the townies to talk. ;) Your stategy is valid and I know many detectives who work that way. You still need to have a full set of either tough or charming skills to get the answers you seek.

Even if you are able to work the easy level cases effectively without your interview skills, the harder levels will give you a lot more difficulty if you dont' have the advanced interview skills vs the advanced smart skills.

ok u have your point but there r some questions u dont have to ask coz some questions r useless and some r little risky not to ask , so im very careful about questions i ask this way i have the answers i need ofcourse not all the time but nearly most times , this way helps me solving hard level cases .

Personally, I couldn't live without stress detection so I know when a suspect is about to clam on me and it helps you know who you ask more questions versus others. I wouldn't worry about hypnotism yet. I still don't have it (even though it would be nice) it's not necessary. If you want to start working on harder cases, definitely beef up your interview and smart skills.
