I am all about the 80s. Note my post to the Sleuth Theme Song thread: Survivor - Eye of the Tiger.
First off, I must say that Bon Jovi is the BEST BAND EVER. Period. They rock. Jon rocks, Richie rocks, Bryan rock, Tico rocks. (I am a girl by the way, ha ha) I've seen them quite a few times now, and I think I'm in withdrawal... it's been 6 months since the last concert!
Let's see... I've seen Motley Crue, Aerosmith twice, Kiss twice, Poison, Guns n Roses, Skid Row, AC/DC... oh yeah.
Who can forget Tiffany. She's so great. And the New Kids - Didn't I Blow Your Mind?
Then there's The A-Team, Knight Rider, Dukes of Hazzard, Fraggle Rock, Punky Brewster, Magnum, Pee Wee's Playhouse, Quantum Leap, Thundercats
Indiana Jones, Poltergeist, Annie, Star Wars, ET, Gremlins, Karate Kid, The Goonies, Top Gun, Ferris Bueller, Dirty Dancing...
Canadian hockey teams won the Cup 6 years in a row... (if only one of them was Toronto, go leafs!)
I think my head is going to explode from the excitement! That's it, I have to go watch all those movies now... to the DVD collection!

Punky Brewster. Transformers cartoons, Battlestar Gallactica-the original.
Berlin wall coming down. Ronald Reagon on tv. Seeing Bush as VP give a speech. watching the Challenger and all the other Space Shuttles be pulled along the streets of my home town on the way out to Edwards Air Force Base. Going to every one of the shuttle landings <yes I am a NASA brat> Of course the Challenger Accident.
Max Headrum.
Bright neon clothes-so bright they hurt your eyes. Ha, that was the first year I got to pick out my own clothes. What a mistake. lol.

OH and how could I forget my fashion escapades.
I styled my way through grade school in my pink and purple high top LA Gears, my high top British Knights with florescent pink laces...
I tight-rolled my jeans. That's right. Way cool. I had the BEST scrunchie collection ever. Banana clips... hypercolour t-shirts... ocean pacific t-shirts.
my first computer was a commodore 64. i couldn't afford the c-64 though. lol. go Gianna sisters! (better than mario bros. any day!)
ooh, and sticker albums. and trading stickers all through recess. those sparkly butterflies were SO popular!
but i digress... or i might not get any sleep tonight. dangerous thread here people. dangerous thread.

How about the bandana tied around your thigh for absolutely no reason other than Chachi did it on Joanie Loves Chachi? Wham or Frankie Goes to Hollywood t-shirts. Getting rhinestones put on your t-shirts. Spiky leather bracelets. Trapper Keepers.
And Tina Turner's come back. 1984 was a great music year (for the 80's). "Private Dancer" by Tina Turner, "Born in the USA" by Bruce Springsteen, "Purple Rain" by Prince, "1984" by Van Halen, "She's So Unusual" by Cyndi Lauper and "The Unforgettable Fire" by U2 were all released in 1984.
