After you play for a while, cases start to seem alike and you begin to solve them mechanicly....at least I do that... So I was tinking about features to make it more itchy...more exiting. For example, more body anlisys. You could find out a lot of thing by simply analizing what the murderer left behind in real life. So it should be some kind of skills, or a City Mourge where they tell you what was the height and weight of the body and all kinds of stuff. And you should be able to discover the murder weapon and the way the victim was murdered. That would be more exiting...plus using some of the items would be great...I would love to use my Chemistry Kit...or a Revolver :) So my suggestion would be a little more cooperation with the forensics and some more details about the murder and solving the mistery...and a small usage of items.....

Thank you verry much,

Best Regards,

Detective Bradford.

I'm plenty itchy as it is.

Some of those are interesting ideas, but given that there has just been a very major expansion, I don't think you're likely to see them anytime soon. Instead you, could try slightly harder cases.

An even BETTER idea would be to get a subscription and check out the richness of content that comes with travelling, agencies and the wicked new features you're surely reading about on these boards, no?

Happy Sleuthing!

1. Footwear impressions allow you to match the impression with actual footwear owned by suspect.

2. Toolmark impressions allow you to match the impression with actual tools owned by suspect.

3. Paint examination allows you to match a tool to the crime scene, when the tool is found.

4. Computer composites can help with suspect identification.

5. Hair analysis enables comparisons with the suspect's hair or with hair found on the suspect's clothing

6. Document analysis can verify the authenticity of a document and who the author is.

7. Fingerprint analysis is still the predominant means of establishing positive identification.

8. Fiber analysis rests on the principle that whenever two individuals are in contact, materials (dust, paint, cloth...) are exchanged at a microscopic level.

9. Blood stain pattern analysis tells you how a crime was committed.

10. Blood analysis lets you identify a victim or a suspect, because DNA is unique to each individual.

11. Wound analysis can help with identifying the murder weapon.

12. Pathology allows you to establish time of death and compare with suspect's schedule.

Rufus, a lot of these suggestions do not fit the time frame Sleuth is set in.

We are playing in the Noir setting of the 1930's.

So no DNA, no computers not even finger print evidence was in use at this time. Some of the modern CSI like ideas you propose work for modern day crime scenes but not for our setting here.

Oh....oh yeah, your right...that explains a lot...still, some of the above could be possiblel :)

I admit, Rufus, that the regular cases could have more twists and methodology. Anything that could make it as "real" as possible is to be applauded. However, this would take time and effort and right now might be the wrong timing as we just had a major expansion like crunch mentioned.

This doesn't mean that new ideas shouldn't be stimulated. But also accept the feedback given to you. If all of us put our minds together this game will totally rock! The designers of Sleuth already proved to be open for suggestions and willing to implement changes.

And the game is soooo different if you subscribe! Not completely following your suggestions, I admit, but more social if you are in an agency and with more places to go and villain hunts and treasure hunts to participate in, plus stuff that even we oldtimers haven't figured out yet....there are many of us who love the game as it is and have a hard time some of the changes that are introduced. That said, I have seen Ben incorporate many changes suggested by players and it's possible some of what you have in mind could manifest in the future...if that's the direction Ben and Sunny decide to take us, of course....and if you are patient...

Suggestions are always welcome in this game. Ben has used many things players suggested. So dont get dissappointed by our reaction Rufus. It's just that we had a major change few days ago. Most of us are still trying to fiure that out, right now. If you sub you could too :)

Also since Ben just added a lot of new stuff and still has some parts he said he's saving for later. Its probably the wrong time for another new major change. Give the guy a break...

That said, its still good ppl are making suggestions. So keep them coming. Also you can read suggestions that were made by others on the board. some of them are very similar to yours. But probably it will take sometime before any of this will be used.
