I really think that, as humans, our perfection lies in the so many little imperfections that make us different and unique. Among those are our habits and fears.
I am terrified of balloons! The sound of a balloon being blown up makes me jump up and hit the ceiling! Also, bees, maybe coz I've never been stung by one?
Bad habits: here's a nasty one: I'm a heavy smoker. And I nibble, not my nails, but the skin around them (I know, Yuck!)
So come on, let out the dirty secrets ;)

I don't like private phone calls or letters. Don't mind at work, luckily. E-mail and SMS are ok.

I'm afraid of spiders too. When the post office came out with stamps with different spiders all over them I refused to buy them because I didn't want to lick them.
I have a bit of agoraphobia too... fear of wide open spaces with no place to hide...
As for bad habit... hmmm... I don't make my bed every morning... I don't balance my checkbook (I just scan my bank account statement to make sure there are no unfamiliar expenditures)... and I'm really lazy on rainy days!

In response to tin's original post I have found that my fear of bees defintely went away after I was stung by one. (It actually didn't hurt that much)

I have a bad habit of chewing my cuticles.
I don't know if this is a phobia, but if I am at the edge of a big body of water and I can see the other side (like a big lake, not the ocean) I sometimes get a rush of fright. Maybe something that happened when I was very young? who knows
However, I am not afraid to lick spiders :D

No, it's spider stamps I didn't want to lick. Of course I wouldn't lick a spider either - or even let one near me.
And that's why it's called PHOBIA.

I am afraid of frogs. It took all the courage I could muster to disect frogs in 8th grade.

Acrophobia- I can't stand heights. I get very dizzy and even if it's only five feet off the ground I start to panic.
Bad habits-When I get nervous, I rip my nails from the nailbed (but only on my thumbs) I have really long nails and I don't want to bite them, so I do that.
