I've made a few updates to agency case files today. This only effects people who are members of an agency. Let me know what you think of these changes, and if you run into any problems relating to case files.

1) Favors can now be stored as private case files. Previously, you could not store favors at all. Now, they can be stored as private files.

2) You can now see whether or not your files are marked as private.

3) Detectives cannot open case files if their experience is not high enough to start that file on their own. So, a detective with less than 400 experience will not be allowed to open a "Really Hard" case file.

I like Fonzie's idea to take away the Accuse link if you exp is not high enough. But if that can't be done I'd prefer that young detectives with contacts be able to help out their agency - otherwise there is not much incentive for agencies to bring in new detectives.

True. If I wasn't able to help out in any cases, I'd be considered useless. There would be little use of me. I second (or triple) fonzie's idea.

I agree with Fonzie also, but didnt I suggest that earlier? lol

I also agree with not allowing lesser experianced detectives being unable to solve the cases... I beleive you should be working up to that point.

I disagree on #1 Greyling. It has actually encouraged interactions within my agency and helped us to grab our first treasure! I do fear however that it will make the treasure hunts end quicker. I think there should be a limit as to the number of favors that can be stored

We collected that 28 minute treasure with just two agents - a lucky combination of saved favors and safecracking. But a case locker from 12 agents saving favors could be deadly.

12 being deadly? the last two were won by 2 people...that's enough to be deadly...

OK, I'm convinced. I have removed the ability to store favors at all. Sorry about the flip flop, but it has proven to make treasure hunts go way too fast. This will not effect favors that you already have stored, but you will not be able to store new ones.

Dear Ben,

In playing for favours today I found to my horror that the number of cases you had to solve before getting to play a favour were drastically changed. I solved eight cases to get to a favour. Now, I ascribed this all to the changes made and was wondering if, now that these changes have been rechanged and nullified, the number of solved cases needed to play a favour were also restored to the good old days.
Please let me know.

James
