I'm a curious guy with lotsa questions, so here I go again.

1. Is there anyway I can kill my detective and make a new detective with the same name? How long is a "retired" detective in sleuth memory before that name can be used by someone else?

2. How does a detective become "inactive" and how is it different from "retired"?

3. I had a detective with an age of 10 days two weeks back. When I logged in today, instead of the age being 11 days, it is 25. Why is that? Is each day counted as age irrespective of your logging in?

1. You will have to choose a different name if you retire your detective.

2. "Inactive" means that the player has not signed on to Sleuth in quite some time, I believe it's 3 months but I may be wrong...

3. Correct. Days old is how many days the character has existed, not how many days you have signed on and played them.

thnx. Though I feel a detective's age should be the number of days he's logged on.

Just because you don't wake up in the morning doesn't mean you don't count that day towards your age same thing here. But I think that when you are subscribed then only the days you log in should count against your subscription!!

angel...if you dont wake up in the morning you would be dead...or do you mean if you dont get up, or if up in the afternoon, (or later)?

One Second, These detectives are living in sleuthville in an online world. My detective's world only exists when i play him (i.e. when i'm online), so why should his age be counted when I'm not online?

When a detective has only played a few days and stopped playing after that, it seems really absurd when his exp. points is just 2540 and his age is 423 days.

I have never seen an online game that does not count real days to determine the age of your character. I have seen some that only list a date joined rather than an age like Sleuth does but they all keep track of length in the game from the day you join.

The notatoin for inactive is a quick way to see who is still likely playing the game and who has dropped out for what ever reason.
