You read that right. We're headed across the pond for some continental sleuthing, and you're invited to join the party.

Where: Amsterdam, or thereabouts
When: Saturday, Feb. 18th

Sunny, jstkdn, Reda, Dionne Dawson and scruffy old me, we'll be getting together, and probably going out for a bite or a pint. Hopefully we'll get along well enough that we won't have an impromptue murder mystery to solve, but you never know.

Jstkdn is a Dam native and will happily assist anybody looking for information on a place to stay, or things to see in the area.

ooohhh that sounds like soooooooo much fun. Unfortunately an 8 hour plane ride is NOT in my reasonable field of accessibility :(

Yeah of course I will take pix. We all (except for Sunny and John Hale) want to see what Ben looks like without the Fez. :) Thanks for the genuine well wishes. ;)

Take lots of pictures... maybe new starter up avatars for Newbie's... like the old ones Dogberta and such have. It would be fun to see some new faces instead of the drab ones I see almost too many times.

Hope everyone who tags along will enjoy their stay! I hear Amsterdam is a very historical city... :)

For the europeans. Amsterdam can be reached easily.

I mean driving for 6 hours, means you have passed through most of Holland, all of Belgium, and are already sipping wine overlooking the Eiffel Tower. :)

Busses are inexpensive: www.eurolines.com
Trains are great, though if you are in England I would pass on Eurostar, and go for a cheapie airline.

Cheap airlines flying in here are easyjet (www.easyjet.com), and basiqair (www.basiqair.), I usually pay 20-60 Euro's (excl. airport tax) roundtrip from London with those.

Heh heh. Maybe even a murder will occur. And the suspect will have a superb alibi. The Bartender AND Ben and Nikkie will be able to back up the claims. :)

I am the cheapest date around (did I just say I am a cheap date? Yes I think i did.) For 1 year and 3 months I have had 1 wine a week max. So 1 beer and 1 whiskey.....and I am dancing on top of the table.

I am thinking we should go to cafe Bolle Jan, more dutch then that is not possible. (And yes, let me shamefully admit up front, I can sing along most dutch songs.)
