After a period of absence, THE RESISTANCE has returned to the Sleuth boards with a healthy Yeti-flavoured taste.

For those unfamiliar, The Resistance is a social game of limited information. Players are split into two teams, one team being true members of the resistance, and the other being spies who have infiltrated the group. Over a course of five missions, resistance members aim to have three missions succeed, whereas spies aim to sabotage three of them. The only way for players to communicate with each other will be through this thread.

I'll post a detailed set of rules once the sign up process is over, but to give you an idea of how the game goes the first The Resistance thread on the Sleuth boards is here: http://noir.playsleuth.com/map/cityhall/post.spy?id=34582&first_record=302111

We'll need five to ten players in order to start the game. I'd like to keep this game flowing, so before putting your name down please make sure that to the best of your knowledge you'll be able to log in at least once a day for the next two weeks. You will not receive financial payment for playing THE RESISTANCE.

Actually the phrase refers to cooking, my grandmother used to use it. As in checking to see if somethings finished cooking or done.

Devi and turtledove got to work on capturing Severus "Switchblade" Scroggs, who was currently holed up in London. After a series of related cases, they worked out that their villain was hiding at the Barber. Devi approached the Barber, but did not get there before Severus "Switchblade" Scoggs saw her and ran out of the back door.. right into turtledove's waiting blow with a blackjack with knocked the potential escapee out cold. "One way or another we always seem to catch them sleeping..." mused Devi when she caught up.

When Severus "Switchblade" Scroggs re-awoke he was questioned about the UVE Villainic. "I don't know the exact location of the UVE Villainic, but I can tell you that it's WEST OF MOSCOW." Ultimately of course, everything is WEST OF MOSCOW, but it was a start.

Mission Two

The Resistance has located another villain that they're interested in, who goes by the name Sir "Crazy Eyes" Wolf. A ridiculous name, the Resistance all agree, but sometimes there's just no guessing what rational Villains use in their thinking. Sir "Crazy Eyes" Wolf was located somewhere in Cairo, and a team of three would be required to bring them in.

A job well done, my dear Turtledove. Brilliantly done if I do say so myself.

~shifts attention to the rest of the group~ Our next mission is our most important yet. Of course, that goes without saying since it is clearly important to keep those villains at bay and their spies with them.

I'm sure *all* of you here agree and that there's no traitor among this little group. Let's cut to the chase, though, we have to go on to catch this Crazy Eyes person that's been leaving corpses all over Cairo.

Mac, Lou and Soheir, you're up. Make sure you catch that bastard!

As for the power, I'm going to use it on Soheir. It's useless for my interests, therefore I'm going to make it rather useless for everyone else as well. Soheir already knows of my allegiance, even though she may or may not have lied about it. Either way, let's strengthen that trust.
