I signed up 6 months ago with a subscription. It was like $4.50 for 6 months. Now it's $19 for 6 months. I understand that $4.50 is a bargon but to me $19 is a little high. Sigh...

$20 is a lot of money.
I can buy me 10 pints on $2 pint night or 10 Tequlia Shots at Timpan.
I could even get 4-5 Guinesses at the Woolshed during happy hour.

HOWEVER. That's one (possibly two) drinking sessions.
For only about $3.35 a month, you get endless (well, ok, maybe not endless... which is a good think because I know otherwise that housework would never get done ;) ) hours of play and even BETTER NO HANGOVER!

Now I don't know what your daily expense are, but just cutting back on one latte a MONTH or one comic book a MONTH, you have the funds.

Also, I'm sure if you're still at school, there may be some old, hat wearing cat lady in your neighbourhood that needs her lawns mowed or protection from Picket-ers.

JC, I think you must have your rates mixed up a bit, there was a SMALL price increase some months ago, but if I recall, 6 Months went from $16 to $19. I believe that 1 month was $5, and 3 months was $8.

I used to pay in the 3 month increments so that is the only one I am certain on.

Yep - Previously, it was 1 month - $5, 2 months - $6, and 3 months - $8

Just go ahead and pay for a year all at once! Cheapest rates per month that way, and more support to Ben ; )

Lady Emerald Devon -- one Lady to another --- can you post a travel map to those haunts?

I have NO, NO, NO problem with the rates...... the amount of enjoyment i get in anticipation alone .. to doing my 10 cases each day is worth more than my yearly fee.

Well, I'm not realy sure about the status of $2 Pint night since Arc was sold. It was (and perhaps still is) held every Tuesday night at Arc Cafe on High St CBD Dunedin.
It was however, started by Fuel on Fredick St and held every Wednesday night. Wednesday night has not be same since since Fuel sold out to the meat market owner of KCs. (Oh the glorious memories of $2 Pint Night and a huge bowl of Potato Wedges with lashings of Sour Cream, those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end.)

Happy Hour with 2 for 1 Guinness is at the Woolshed, Moray Place, Dunedin and is held every Friday night starting at 5pm. Free nibbles are provided and the staff quite often dress up in a different theme each Friday night.
Despite, Dicey's trying really hard, The Woolshed is also the place to be on St Patrick's Day with that half of Moray Place being closed down for the occasion.

Timpan is happening bar located in the windy back streets (alley's?) of Hongdae. Perhaps the only place in Seoul where you where see Koreans with Dreadlocks and multi coloured hair. It is really one of those places where you need someone whose been there before.

So, next time you're in Seoul, South Korea, give me a shout and we'll take Hongdae by storm.
