Can someone explain the relationship, if any, between exp awarded and difficulty of case/solve time/evidence collected-verified/any other factors?

The total they have to spend. I am comparing the rate at which they recieve new skill points. Steve has recieved 9 in the time that Gena has recieved 5.

Oh, and I keep meaning to say that almost impossibles are 5120 experience points per case, since there was a question about it above.

Ohhh, that sounds pretty reasonable. Interesting to note that Steve has just one more skill point although he has over 30,000 more experience points.

OMG after playing for awhile, 'time to solve' did not seem to affect anything.
Today I even went off to make dinner and eat it in the middle of a case and then I won the case and got a skill point !?!

skill points come with experience, has nothing to do with how you solve a case
