Moonshh: "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" is one of my favourite films and the music from it is just brilliant! A modern classic : o )

My player's churning out Debussy's La Mer right now.
Ok, so French Impressionism tends to sedate my brain giving me the tendency to accuse the wrong suspect, but what the hell... :D

Wynton Marsalis is the son of Ellis Marsalus0the great New Orlean's swing pianist. Wyntnon Marsalis is the director of the Jazz at Lincoln Square (NYC) and travels a lot with his septet (same as the 7 disk set-Live at the Village Vangaurd) He's probably the most well know swing trumpeter or his era-known as the young lions.
Blood on the Field is a jazz ortorio that won the Pulitzer Prize around 2000. It tells the story of 2 african people that were made slaves in the south-and how they excaped that slavery both pysically and spiritually. Personally, I think it may be one of the most important recording of the last 30 years.
For Blues, (he mainly is a old school swing person) I'd check out his The Midnight Blues Standard Time Vol. 5.

nice Lew Sibal!
*puts on Ravel's Daphnes and Chloe, but is wary also of a FA getting on his record.*
