A couple of questions!

Is it possible to have one suspect that has two eyewitness evidence against him/her WHILE having another suspect who has one piece of physical evidence against him/her?

And if so, who would be more guilty?

Also, what do experience points DO? I have over 2,000 experience points, and I'm doing hard cases right now, with only the occasional skill point if I get it.

(I'm trying to hold out for a really good skill, like Lock Picking, but it's been so long since I've gotten a skill, I might settle for anything.)

The easy answer is the one without an alibi would be guilty. Here is formula of who can be accused:
Physical evidence and no alibi. . . guilty
Witness evidene and no alibi. . . guilty
2 Witness evidence and an uncomfirmed alibi. . . guilty.

All of the physical evidence belongs to someone but only one belongs to someone with no alibi. Also sometimes the witnesses are wrong in their suspicians, but if you get 2 that say the same person, they are the guilty party.

Experience points are nothing but bragging rights. You can't trade them or anything, however the more you have the more difficult cases you can access, for instance you need 100K to do almost impossible.

Also, experience points help you gain new skill points (I know this is being debated, but it is still a good basis for skill points until it is decided)

The suspects with 2 witnesses against him is for sure guilty! Accuse!
If you have only one witness against somebody you need to check their alibi. If its none or fake accuse.

Well, I was originally asking about two suspects who BOTH had a motive and no alibi/disproved alibi. But I guess 2 witnesses trump 1 piece of physical evidence. So thanks.

And, yeah, I'm not sure about experience points, still.

Its not possible to have 2 suspects with no/fake alibi and both have evidence against them. One of them will have real alibi.

wait till the skill you want is available to you. Skill points come slower and slower. So you better dont rush up and buy anything.

Lia, everyone has a motive - they don't appear in the game if they don't. So that in itself doesn't point to the killer.

You need to have two pointers to the killer out of:
~ fake alibi or no alibi (clamming up and not telling you doesn't count for this).
~ physical evidence.
~ witness evidence.

As Reda says, the one with two witnesses against them is guilty. Your other suspect, with physical evidence against them, will have a valid alibi (even if they've clammed up and won't tell you, or the townspeople have clammed up and you can't prove it either way).
