Is it possible to have a number of cases worked on today section for the Detective Page? This would be really convienent for treasure hunts and just in general.

Hello Magnifier32,
It took me 5 minutes, and a walk to the kitchen and back, before I finally got what you were trying to ask. (Talk about being dense!)
Anyway, that's a good idea, though believe it or not, I suspect this isn't Ben's day job.
Nonetheless, it would be nice to include the following details in the "Detective" Profile Page:
No of daily cases left:
No of daily cases solved:
(this includes favours)
--------------------------------------------------
You can't imagine how surprised I am on some days when I keep getting new cases everytime I click, even though I thought I was through with my 8. That's cause the favours also count as solved cases. Oh woe to me...My poor head!
Still, all is not lost even if Ben can't do anything about this yet!
What I do is I try to log everything down on a spreadsheet (pen and paper works fine too), but sometimes I still forget, the stats start running haywire, and the numbers play ring-around-the-roses in my head once again.

I was just thinking abt it, and several hours later, I realise there may still be a flaw in the above suggestion.
Cancel "No. of daily cases solved"
Version 1.1:
--------------------------------------------------
No. of daily cases left:
No. of cases to next favour:
--------------------------------------------------
Yea this makes more sense. Cos "daily" means it doesnt carry forward, so the next day, you would still be lost, as to how many to your next favour.

That would really be great!
Especially when helping other people in the agency, opening and closing cases...
To be connected (maybe?) with the "are my cases stored as private or public" suggestion made a while ago.
Ben, maybe you should take this up as your day job ;-)

Diane, just a small note on your "That's cause the favours also count as solved cases" - nope favours don't count as part of your daily 8 cases, you get them as extra prices for doing a good job on your cases (maybe we need to reevaluate your performance) ;)

Can I make a related suggestion: it would be good to have an accessible list of cases attempted, together with difficulty, success/fail, and date.
Thought something like this might be good to keep track of how you're going.
Such a list would also indicate how many cases you've done today.
