What about old no comparison O'conner old military cut herself definately not on the Pope's list unless it was a worst of list (jstkdn there is another thread for the next list). On the flipside I am not real religious but Charlotte Church can sing!!Saw her in Las Vegas last year AWESOME

Charlotte Church.... yeah! She may be able to sing, but let's face it, she's still just a spoiled kid with WAY too much money! Oh well, I;m sure I'd be the same if I were a millionairre! *sigh*

Well, the huge different in French and English is that what she sings in French is 75% less mushy than in English. But it is still to pop for my taste. ;)
Any language can be singing language. ;)

Well it is quebecqois French...which I am sure considering how particular the French are about their language is considered not really French. :)
Even if she were to sing in Dutch, I still won't like her songs.

Every time I go to a different country I try to pick up some basics (good morning, thank you etc.) I do speak French, but as it is my 4th language, it only gets me by for about 70%, for reading it is about 85%. Problem is the French speak so incredibly fast, and they expect you to do the same. France has been the ONLY country, where the simple attempt to speak in their native tongue...was not appreciated at all.
I once excepted a job at EuroDisney for 4 months. I quit after 10 days. Long story...but can be summed up as....I could not stand the French.
I have worked with the French many times since then. And find it extremely problematic. Not because of language, but the way they do business. Everyone not French in business, is stabbed in the back. That's what I found time and again. I
Luckely outside of work, I have met some really cool friends from there. None of them are Parisians. I am starting to think it is a Parisian thing. I have put it through the test a few times. When I met annoying French, whom disregarded local cultures as inferior while travelling, I asked them where they were from...always from Paris. When I met French that were respectful, I asked the same question....not from Paris.

Well, it seems that the Parisians are... well one of a kind. This is how the rumors had been going and it might be probably true. Well, quebecois is considered French over there, but one talk show host over there made his disfavor for the accent known.Xp
The French guys I know are from the Southern France and they are sweerthearts. ;)
