Here's one,
When in Hawaii, and this thought comes up, pay it no heed:
"I think I should go down onto that rockyu outcropping so I can take some close-up pictures of all those big waves."

Did you just lose the camera, or fall completely off?

Funny thing about Hawaii, some waves can be a lot bigger than the other ones around them. One came along that was a good 4 or 5 feet higher than the rest. Kind of smooshed me. Sunny was nice enough to drive me to a phone where we could call an ambulance. I got LOTS of stitches and a big screw holds my elbow together now.

Here's what TO do when stuck in an embarrassing situation:
After tripping and falling face down onto a concrete pavement, continue lying there motionless. Count for 10 secs, while you hear the laughter fade and move ever so slightly ONLY when someone comes over to help you. You'll notice that the usual jeering faces are replaced by furrowed looks of concern.
(Ps. Do this ONLY when you KNOW there are people around, else the 10 second rule isn't gonna work)

Word of advice: When climbing a tree, do NOT trust any ropes that you think are connected and tied well. You WILL fall and smack your wrist against a sharp rock. It will be broken and you will wear an annoying cast for 3-6 weeks.
(5 for me!)
