I've been wondering if there's any "Impossible Cases", that actually gives the full amount of money stated at the beginning of the case. Ever since the impossible cases were added, I've never received the full amount, but instead I get a special reward/gift always worth $1000, cash if sold. One would think we'd have the choice of keeping the gift or taking the full amount in cash, but it's not that big of a loss...lol. Either way I'm happy with the hardest level of cases recently added. I want to say a BIG THANK YOU BEN for adding the impossible cases. This has really helped add experience points more quickly. Oh yes, the favors are a more challenging, and hunting for the suspects in hiding keeps things interesting. Anyway, not complaining, just curious. Maybe one of these days I'll be able to get out of Sleuthville USA and sail to another country someday. Hey, that rhymed...lol. Happy Sleuthing everyone.

DaRu,

Where does it say what that you will get a monetary reward on the almost impossible cases? In the case information screen, it should just say "Special" for reward.

Hey Ben, it says you will get a monetary reward. This is in the case files for me.

It says I will receive $1170 as the reward, but it is only that $1000 item.

Thanks for responding Ben. As jojo stated, when you first see the case listed it states the impossible cases to be worth anywhere from $1020, up to and above $1150, and so on. Once you open the case and get into it, it then states a Special Reward, but nothing about the initial amount when first opened. The only time there wasn't a special gift given was when the suspect guilty happened to be the client, however, since I had the pick pocket skill, I won the cash, but it didn't state whether it was the full amount initially stated or a $1000 instead of the special reward. It's kind of confusing, but like I stated it's not that big of a deal to not receive the extra $20 to $150 loss. Here are a few amounts initially stated for the impossible cases I won today as follows: $1120, $1060, $1160, $1160, and so on, but only received the special reward after the fact, and when sold I received a $1000 instead. Some of the cases were valued less, and on those I benefitted from the sell of the gift at a $1000, so that was great. I hope this explains it better. Just thought it would be good to be able to keep or sell the item for the monetary rewards mentioned above. Like I said I'm not complaining though. A thousand dollars at a whack mounts up fast, and for sure the experience points we get for solving them. I only mentioned it because I was curious.

I wondered about the same thing. When you save the case in case files it states an amount, while on the case file page it says "special."

At first, I thought I received the 1000 for the selling the item off + the amount.

lol, I sure have missed chatting with you jojo. I've never been short and to the point on anything.I admire those that can. This week I wrote my 98 year old grandmother a ten paged letter. She told me she's writing me back, but don't expect ten pages. She did say my letters are entertaining and make her feel like she's right there .hehe. Anyway, I promise (with my hand up)to shorten my message. By the way, didn't mean to get off the subject here.
