The Furore seems to be broken. I have a ticket for today (09-16) at 12:30pm and am in New York. But when I go to the Boardwalk, it says I have to pay $100 to get in. If you look at the other post titled "Furor glitch?" you can see that there are other agents having similar issues. Looking back at the City News, no one has won a furor since Sep-7-2018 at 12:56... before the outage.

The ticket is still showing as a mission ("You have a ticket to a Carousel Furore at the Battery Boardwalk on Sunday at 12:30.') even though it is now 12:33pm .

Please fix the Furore.

Shin'ichi - I am concerned about your post referencing the user name preventing you from accessing the furores. I have a symbol in my name, and am wondering if I can expect problems to pop up for me later as a result of my user name. I had seen other names with symbols, and the name was accepted when making a character, so I thought it was safe to proceed.

I would be willing to have my name altered (symbol over the letter u removed) if that would be advisable.

And hope the furores get fixed soon, especially since nemmy hunts are being stalled.

Still waiting on the furores Ben. Will it ever be fixed or should we consider it beyond repair?

Yes, it would be helpful to have an update. If it cannot be fixed, is there any way to remove our current furore tasks on nemesis hunts, and block those particular tasks being offered again?

If the furores are beyond repair, which I doubt, something should be done about the pets too. Those who are sick at present should be cured manually, and the rest should be prevented from falling ill again. But I'm sure that the author of the whole Boardwalk expansion would know how to resolve the problem. Why not call him back?

Don't know the circumstances of Yeti's departure, but I do miss his presence here in Sleuthville. I absolutely love the core game that Ben and Sunny provided to us all those years ago - in fact, I don't really play the furores and nemmy hunts on any detectives, although that might change in the future. But I know that for many players those are the main reason that they play Sleuth Noir.

My point really is that the core game and all of the additions through the years have resulted in a great game and community. Family and day jobs can certainly limit the time available for trouble-shooting - that's why I was so happy to see Yeti step in when he (she?) did. I've always seen Sleuth as a "passion project" of Ben's that he has kept going all of these years, and although I come and go I always love to pop in for a few months here and there and support the game with subs, as finances allow.

If it would be possible for Yeti to return, I'm sure we could throw a welcome back party of sorts! Anyway, I ramble ....

I know Ben is doing his best with the time he has available, and I hope that this can all be sorted out soon. Happy Hunting!

I agree that Ben is most likely doing his best with the time he has available, but he logged on this morning. It would have only taken a few seconds to extend the courtesy to post something - even it's just, hey, sorry, it's going to be a few weeks before I can get this resolved.

I would love to see Ben sell this passion project to a company or coder that could really build into it and expand it. After all these years, it is still the most unique and best detective game on the web!! I'm really grateful to Ben for what he created. Would love to see his dream be expanded on!!

Hopefully whilst he has his foot up (having wrecked it) he'll do some catch up. He did say that's what he was doing or was that going to do when I was talking to him yesterday... He did just fix Murder in Manhattan (and the bug that has resulted in some other evidence in SM's going rogue) not that many would have noticed it was broken... but hey, small victories.
