Hey everybody. :D How about some Resistance? It doesn't matter whether you're an old hand or just somebody curious about all this "filthy spy" business and thinking about giving it a whirl - all are welcome to play! I won't be able to come up with a background story for this one, but you can throw in some drama if you wish. :D

Rules:

The game consists of five missions; the Resistance needs 3 successful missions to win, while the spies are looking to sabotage 3. First team to 3 wins.

As soon as we have a final list of players (we need a minimum of 5 players, and a max of 10), I will PM everyone their allegiance (whether they’re a part of the “Resistance” or if they’re a “Spy”) and create a List with the names of all the players in a random order. Spies will also be informed of the identities of the all the other spies.

A "leader" will be chosen from the top of the List for the first mission. The leader has 2 important functions:
1) The leader will assign various "role" abilities to players. These are one-shot special powers a player can use to learn more information about someone.
2) The leader will assign players to the "team" for that mission.

I log in after a nice Thanksgiving dinner to find my lovely team sabotaged. Can't say I'm surprised.

My initial thoughts after the first round were:

1) Both players were spies and didn't want to risk 2 sabotage votes or posting a "hidden message" on the message boards,

2) One player was a spy but didn't feel comfortable outing herself with only two players on the team, or

3) Both players were Resistance.

Then I saw Riza's post. It looks really good - and she asked a lot of good questions. But when I saw her post: "Therefore, I will not be voting for any 3-team combination that is not composed of LaSorella, Marc, and myself" I thought "uh-oh." This is a typical spy line to draw in the sand. Go back and read previous games and you will see this is something typically used by spies to excuse their refusal to vote for certain teams.

Also, Riza is typically a pretty quiet player, but all of a sudden in this game she's taking a strong role - another "uh-oh" in my mind.

I'd like to know what everyone else is thinking.

Ayayaiii what a gloomy Friday this is.

Fact: At least now we know that either Riza or Sindy is a spy.

About Riza...if she had not mentioned her beloved Benjamin I would think she was a spy. But who knows if she wrote it with her fingers crossed.

About Sindy...you might be employing the same missleading technique you are accusing Riza with. If I go with my initial assumption there are more chances in my mind that you are a spy.

About Sal...no subtle nor obvious hints about Marc have been shared so it does make me wonder still of your intentions.

About Marc... since you stated you planned to vote no on that last mission, and if I take you on your word, I would guess you are indeed resistance. Specially considering my comments to Sal.

I did plan to vote no but my vote wasn't cast in time, so it was assumed i votes yes. It's fine though I'm not mad about that, but this shows me that sleuth Sindy is most likely a spy

It wasn't "assumed" you voted no. Your vote was "randomized" - Bela tossed a coin or something.

Riza is a spy. I am Resistance. I'm 99% sure LaSorella is Resistance.

I don't have your level of confidence Sindy, I think LaSorella could still be a spy. So my team proposal (I guess I'm next per Bela's pm) is this.

Sal
Marc

*************************************************************************

Sal has proposed a team of himself and Marc for Mission 3.

Everybody, PM me your votes (Mission 3, Team 1: YES/NO); Sal must post his vote here. 24 hours.

Sal will also have to assign the NO CONFIDENCE card to somebody in the meantime.

The game is tied 1-1.

On Mission 1 Team 1

Sal votes YES

*************************************************************************

Sal is keeping NO CONFIDENCE.

Sal's team of himself and Marc has been REJECTED (3-2):

Riza: NO
LaSorella: YES
Sindy: NO
Sal: YES
Marc: NO

Leadership now passes to Marc, who must propose a team of TWO people for Mission 3.

Interesting results....I was counting on Sal trusting Marc to be resistance so I was looking forward to give this team a go.

If they were spies they would have no chance to plan anything, therefore it would have been a big chance of showing any deviousness if their votes were different.

That said Marc votes no, so I guess he suspects Sal of being a spy.

At this point, I am still 100% unsure of where everybody else's alliances are. *sigh* There goes my wish for a relaxing sunday.

Riza is a spy.

Sleuth Sindy and LaSorella are (99% sure) Resistance.

Marc or Sal must be a spy. No way I could vote YES for that team.
