As a trustworthy citizen of Sleuthville I will take up Badass' suggestion to offer some odds with our pretend Sleuth Cash. But only on the eventual winner. I won't have time to do round by round.
* You can have until midnight on the 10th to PM me with your overall winner, and wire me your money. (Because I don't think anyone will finish round one in two days and most of you will be in Shangri La by now and can't see the Notice Board)
* Subbed players only, as you will have to wire me your money from one of the banks, and only subs can do that... I think.
* 1 bet per player per entrant, ie Badass you can only bet on Sindy once. But you can bet on as many of them as you like. So please feel free to bet $20,000 on each participant. ;)
*If I've forgotten anything let me know. I think the odds are pretty good.
Odds are as stated and won't change.
Minimum bet = $200
Maximum Bet = $20,000
Sal Iva - 3/2 (sorry Sal, you've just been jinxed as my frontrunner)
Kathryn Gumshoe the 7th - 2/1
Bonanza Jellybean - 4/1
Bela Talbot III - 4/1
Sultry De Mon - 7/1
Verali - 10/1
Sleuth Sindy - 13/1
Keira Ann- 15/1
Yeti Face - 19/1
DevilishWings - 23/1
Professor Troof - 30/1
Mortimer Maze - 40/1
shaunkhan - 50/1
Lovelylone - 50/1
Breitkat - 100/1
M. Lacrimosa - 200/1
Odds are NOT indicative of player ability (eesh Breit is GOOD money)... well except for Marc, he's definitely the Three-legged Tom of the field :D

SS, If I walk out my front door at noon, I can be in the betting lines at Saratoga Race Course in about 25 minutes (and have done it many times). When I dope out a race, the first thing I do is throw out the favorite, so I would not bet myself here, jinxed or not. Am I free to bet on someone else? BTW the track opens six weeks from Friday.

You're free to bet on anyone, Sal. You can ignore yourself if you like. :-)

Well I hate to hear that the odds "are NOT indicative of player ability" because I was feeling pretty good about myself! LOL

So after the first round the following folks have made it through:
Verali
Yeti Face
Sal Iva
Keira Ann
Mortimer Maze
Bela Talbot
Kathryn Gumshoe the 7th
Bonanza Jellybean
DevilishWings
Sultry De Mon
Thank you all very much for knocking out most of the longshots!
I look forward to rolling around in all your money!
I can't remember who put money on Mortimer Maze, but their money is looking pretty good at the moment, being the quickest finisher in the first round!
