I've started work on the next update for Sleuth, and as promised it's going to be a content update. However, it's going to take a while before any of you see it, at least two months, potentially far longer than that.

Now I would hate to leave you all in the Sleuth wilderness, totally devoid of changes, so every one to two weeks I'll create an update from the suggestions you give here. An example of a small update (from the desk of Bela Talbot III) would be including your most recent fortune telling in the case file so long as you haven't discovered any new suspects since then.

Whilst this is going on I'll also fix up the small bugs lying around the game. For example, there's a certain accessory devouring fox that needs reining in, and possibly relocating. So don't worry about suggesting bug fixes here. Keep it to small things you'd like to see, or small annoyances you'd like changed.

A suggestion to make the Sleuthetania a bit more worthwile ...

If you collect a certain amount of journal pages you can either trade them in to be exempt from paying rent for a set amount of time or get a reduction to pay off Shady (or leave the option to choose between both).

I was speaking to a friend of mine about this 'three strikes you're out' deal on FAs and what would give players more incentive to play and she came up with this great idea. Increase the amount of FAs allowed by giving 1 extra FA at 1 mil experience, another one at 5 mil, another at 10 mil, then 20 mil, then keep doubling it. So it would be one extra FA at 40, 80, 160 mil. experience.

That sounds like a great idea to me! The 3 FA "permadeath" thing always seemed really severe to me...

Sounds good to me. Getting tired of paying that Shady.

Glasse, FWIW, Ben has said he never thought people would get so attached to their detectives. He just figured they would create a new one. When he saw we did, he created the unretire option. I'm not saying it shouldn't be tweaked or updated or that that's not a good idea (it is), just explaining what I understand to be his thought process behind it.

This is all according to my very faulty memory so please don't think I'm speaking for Ben.

Yeti, I'm not sure if this counts as a "small" update but think it would be a very useful one.

A discussion with Bela Talbot III on another thread (How was your Sleuth day?) highlighted the suggestion of of a confirmation page when about to accuse the co-conspirator. We have a confirmation page for ordinary cases, so it would seem to make sense that we have one on AVH cases.

I'm guessing it would be a fairly easy update to make. What do you think?

Just to clarify - I do mean at the very end of the villain hunt, when we have the drop- down list.

What about a high scores list that only has active players? No idea if that's even feasible. And it wouldn't replace the one we have now. It was old just be an addition.

And we needs owls.

And sparkle ponies.
