I've started work on the next update for Sleuth, and as promised it's going to be a content update. However, it's going to take a while before any of you see it, at least two months, potentially far longer than that.

Now I would hate to leave you all in the Sleuth wilderness, totally devoid of changes, so every one to two weeks I'll create an update from the suggestions you give here. An example of a small update (from the desk of Bela Talbot III) would be including your most recent fortune telling in the case file so long as you haven't discovered any new suspects since then.

Whilst this is going on I'll also fix up the small bugs lying around the game. For example, there's a certain accessory devouring fox that needs reining in, and possibly relocating. So don't worry about suggesting bug fixes here. Keep it to small things you'd like to see, or small annoyances you'd like changed.

On a different note - I've been enjoying my first Nemesis Hunt and just used the Race Track for the first time in my entire Sleuth life and had fun with it. I've been thinking it's kind of a pity that we don't have a little "mission" for new players that takes them around the Sleuth world and briefly introduces them to some of the features of Sleuth (like the race track in Shanghai, the catacombs in Cairo, etc.). Their first client could be a rich one who pays all of their expenses on their first case that takes them around the world in X amount of days.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Ann unsave button in the Sleuth mail box for when you accidentally save a message or no longer need it, etc.

In regards to mailing items - no need for a post office:

"Paying to mail an item to a detective in another city. You’d get a sleuth mail saying, “You have a package waiting at the docks/train station.” You can choose to return to sender at no cost to you or accept it. If you don’t have the appropriate slot open you’d have to sell an item or send one to your agency/apartment locker (of course it can be mailed back to you later if you need it). Once this system is in place I wouldn’t be opposed to having to pay to mail favor items back to my home city instead of the current magical transportation system."

And from the same 2007 post:

"Being able to pay the detective shop a fee to “peek under the counter” for a chance to buy a random IH favor item." (or even better, the opportunity to peruse inventory of items actually sold by other sleuths)

Would you be sending packages through the docks/train station as well?

I'd never fully considered the SENDING part of the transaction, but I suppose it makes sense. More sense to me anyway than the hassle of popping a new icon into every city.

Maybe use the space under the Sleuthetania box?

As the icon itself already exists there isn't actually a lot to do in adding them onto the maps, though thank you for thinking of the work load!

Sending packages from a post office sounds right to me, it's where one would expect to send and receive packages in a world where detectives are the only people who do home deliveries.

A "delete all" button for all messages in your inbox and outbox. I mean not just the whole page but the entire content with one single push. Especially when you broadcast messages over 12 members it tends to fill up quickly.

In regards to the post office in every city ... wouldn't it be simpler to add extra services to the banks? I mean the banks are already there and adding post offices in every city would take away the uniqueness of the one in Delhi.

The whole SMail page could use some extra features. Not least a search bar!

Having the banks mail packages might be an idea Solve A Lot. Good thinking.
