... help required, ironically.

Is anyone else using this programme to help with their Sleuthing? If so, are you having problems where it keeps crashing - namely:

"Error: Document couldn't be saved to stream for parsing. Sleuth Helper will exit to prevent inconsistency." Straight after logging in.

Even if you can't help with this, do you know of any other solvers which I could use instead?

Cheers

And it's back on the blink ... sigh. And this is the version that Ctown28 sent me. Same error message as before.

Eventually I get an Access Violation message, but it clears out on its own.
What's your version?

This is most annoying, as I'm just beginning to get somewhere with the Nemesis hunting. Hopefully, if I just keep playing in my browser for a bit the Helper will correct itself.

I really hope so, the Helper makes our lives so much easier.

Melanie, I'm getting this message. And after this, the program exits/closes, and there's nothing that fixes it.

Yup that "exit to prevent inconsistency" message is sadly now very consistent. I've tried every option, checked/unchecked every box, run every virus scan, defragged every drive, climbed every mountain, yodelled every yodel and slurped every cup of tea (which seems to really annoy the Tea Steepers). Yet still no luck and it still crashes.

Back to the pen and paper!

Well that sucks that it stopped working for you, it certainly sounds like a setting on your PC, especially if its the one I sent you, I am having no problems with it at all.

What version of Internet Explorer do you have installed on your computer? I currently have IE8 and while I use Google Chrome for browsing, you still need to make sure Internet Explorer is at least installed.

If all else fails, try uninstalling and reinstalling

Yes, I doubt it is the Solver itself that is the problem. It might still be the antivirus software interfering with it. Thanks for all your help, anyway - it is much appreciated!
