Mob history is to be made tonight, and you are along for the ride.

Sonny Capellini, The La Cosa Nostra boss of the Brooklyn area and a few of his closest compatriots were found dead in his home two nights ago, victims of blasts from sawed-off shotguns. Fuggheddaboudit. Theories suspect rival Emil "The Butcher" Bocelli, a higher-up with no small means at his disposal. Emil wanted to assume his place as the top man in the Brooklyn outfit.

However, the Santanelli's have cracked open the books and are hesitant to appoint the wild-card Bocelli, for fear they might have trouble from him later on down the line. They favor Jimmy "Legs" Tarabotti, a well-respected mobster who has no beef against the Santanelli's. However, La Cosa Nostra isn't about to lose more manpower over this.

Jimmy "Legs" Tarabotti has been sent for, and if he makes it to the meeting in a warehouse on 34th tonight at midnight, he will assume the mantle of the entire Brooklyn outfit. If he doesn't make it, the outfit goes to Bocelli.

You are a close-knit crew of Tarabotti's supporters, but word on the street is that Bocelli bribed a few of his men to the other side. Its possible, with their sabotage, that Tarabotti will be dead far before midnight. Only the final strike of the clock will tell.

Squirrel I post a lot. I post incessantly when Resistance :-) I'm actually not doing a good job this time, but nothing has really happened yet.

I'm also pretty sure this mission is going to fail. Spreadsheet will be in action as soon as we get the results.

To help the Resistance a bit I'm adding that if this mission fails, we will narrow our search for the spies, as there are only 3 names in the mission and this will make the ''finding spies'' job a lot easier.
So, dear spy colleagues, cover yourselves up this mission. :)

I have a feeling either nic or riza is a spy, because that passed WAY too easily.

Mission 1:

Squabbles break out amongst the group over who will have the honor to escort Jimmy Tarabotti to the next rendezvous point. Leadership is quickly wrested from Squirrel by Cekuray at knifepoint, only to find his approval ratings lukewarm at best. Nicnic pulls a gun on the whole gang, and pointing to a stricken Riza Hawkeye and biggie528, exclaims, "wise guys neva bring da knife to da gunfight. Now, youze and youze with me."

Mournfully, the jealous gang watches them go, Secret_Squirrel reciting rapid-fire verse in his extreme ire, before they pile in the car to head to the rendezvous point.

*Meanwhile*

Nicnic, Biggie528 and Riza Hawkeye knock on Tarabotti's door, to have it thrown wide. Jimmy Tarabotti shields his eyes with his hand. "Are youze the crew I sent for?" He asks. Riza shrugs her shoulder. "Fugheddaboudit." she says smugly, dusting an imaginary speck of dust from her leather jacket.

Suddenly a dark car that has been rolling slowly down the street stops. The windows are rolled down and gunfire erupts. In his haste to get to his vehicle, Jimmy Tarabotti is shot in the shoulder. He'll have to head to the hospital, which might put a serious delay on the deadline to get to the warehouse.


Mission 1 consisting of a team of nicnic, Riza Hawkeye and biggie528 was a FAILURE.

The team members voted as follows:

MISSION 2: Sneaking Tarabotti Out

The prognosis for making it to the warehouse on time doesn't look good. The crew drove Tarabotti to the hospital to be treated for his gunshot wound while the rest of the gang met them there. The doctors want to keep him overnight for monitoring. Eh, whats a flesh wound, right? Jimmy Tarabotti is frantic. He asks Riza Hawkeye to help him assemble a crew to give the orderlies the slip...from one friend to another.

Riza Hawkeye is the leader for Mission 2.

Mission 2 will consist of FOUR team members.

The team leader has been given two advantages to distribute to whomever she sees fit. They are:

OPINION MAKER (immediate use)- The player who receives this card must now vote first and publicly for the rest of the game.

ESTABLISH CONFIDENCE (immediate use)-The Leader must select a player from the list to establish their allegiance to. Once the Leader has selected a player, I will PM said player the allegiance of the leader.

Riza should now distribute these abilities to other team members or keep one for herself.

Riza, please assign/use these abilities whenever you're ready.

It was sorta obvious there was a spy on that considering everyone was so eager to vote yes on it.

We don't really know anything at this point. I know I'm Resistance, and honestly my gut has been telling me from the beginning biggie was probably a spy. I can't really explain it, it just seems like she is kind of smug and almost mocking me from behind her computer screen. grrrrrrrrrr It could be Riza. Which means one of the next two is a spy, and potentially will get special abilities.

As for me, there is really nothing to prove to you I am not the spy except for my spreadsheet and the fact that I'm not happy I'm not a spy. I really really really wanted to be one, but unfortunately Molly's baseball cap screwed me AGAIN. The only thing I can say is I openly invite anyone who gets an OVERHEARD CONVERSATION card to use it on me and find out my allegiance (well I guess that would only mean Cekuray or Riza). I actually implore you to do that. Riza, if you get the OVERHEARD CONVERSATION, use it on me. At least if you lie and say I'm a spy, I will know you are the one and can try to convince everyone else and narrow down the possible spy combinations on my spreadsheet :-)
