The game's very simple. You just have to post a riddle, and the person who posts next should try answering it, and should post their own riddle.

Example:
Why do birds fly South in winter?

I am a three digit number.
My tens digit is five more than my ones digit.
My hundreds digit is eight less than my tens digit.
What number am I?

Easy: 194 .. right??? the last clue (eight less makes it fixed).

Okay my turn:

I'll Use names from sleuth members to narrate this (so don't mind)

After many sleuth years Ercule returns to check on the fellow sleuthers, and stumbles on to Lyra, she asks him with a smile," Long time no see , how's life... r u married?? Kids???"

Ercule Replies, "yeah.. alas... three kids.."

Lyra asks," well how old they are ".. so ercule says, "well their product of ages is 36"... lyra (the math genius) bewildered says, "umm, not sure can u give more hints"

ercule says, "well, their sum of ages is the number opposite to that house"

Lyra swears under breath "you geek" and says " well any more hints???"

ercule finally said," well as you know i like my senpai Sal so much, i named my elder son 'Sal'"....

Then Lyra said... "oh! now i got it"

So question what are the ages of those three kids . (dont worry it is solveable mathematically)

Is the answer:

4, 3, and 3?

4*3*3=36

4*3*3 is 36 but so is 6*6*1,9*4*1 etc

y is that the answer??? think... there are 3 statements and each signifies something...

I just gave the hint to the 1st one (as 36 can be broken up into many ways) so Lyra couldnt solve it, the next two statement made her find the answer... :)

4*3*3 is not right.. :P

Ok Hints:

36 can be split in 4*3*3 , 9*4*1, 9*2*2, 6*6*1,6*3*3,18*2*1

Now as i said (the sum is same as opposite house) and yet cannot be solved

but if u add the factors all are unique except 9,2,2 & 6,6,1 which sums to 13 (so still lyra was unable)

but i mentioned the elder son (so the elder son is unique) not a twin (hence not 6,6,1)

Answer: 9*2*2
