Waaaay before my time here, Serges hosted Sleuth March Madness in 2007. I thought it looked like a lot of fun, so... without further ado, The copy pasted rules from then with minor modifications! ;)
The premise is pretty simple. We compile a list of 64 of the game's most recognizable players, seed them into a tournament bracket, and allow Sleuthville to vote for the "best" in each matchup.
Rules for eligibility:
You are not allowed to nominate yourself.
You may nominate up to 3 persons.
The nominated must be over 30 days old by March 1, 2010, and active.
Entries and nominations should be messaged ASAP. As soon as we get 64, the seeding process will begin and the matchups will be posted.
After the initial bracket is filled, I will post a few matchups here every day. Then, the people involved in those matchups will have an opportunity to say "anything" on this thread that they feel will allow them to advance to the next round of competition. Sleuthville votes will be what decides the winners, and voting information will be coming soon.
The overall winner of this tournament will receive $100,000 sleuth cash.
We will start the voting on March 1st, so get your nominations in as quickly as possible! Please PM me the nominations, and I will be posting a list of who has been nominated, the brackets, and all that fun stuff as we go. :)

Riza is an awesome person to chat with and an excellent RP-er. However, my endorsement goes to Joseph Zeo. I feel as though I must vote for him. I would also like to endorse Shady. Shady, is just way too cool!

I just need to say one thing here.
I would not be the detective or person I am today without either ctown or Heim. They are both wonderful guys and I am so glad I know them both. So... Vote for ctown or Heim! :)

I would like to endorse the following people:
Lady Jas - She is incredibly supportive of all players old and new, and helped me out when I was very new to Sleuth and had an agency problem, she's a dynamo treasure huntress and she's a great friend.
Ms. Helen - All around great gal and humorist. The message board game room has always been a little brighter with her posts.
Hmmm, the three way tie...
I am going to endorse Anais Nin, this is a very, very hard choice because all three are incredibly vibrant members of Sleuth, however, Anais Nin is funny, kind and has more quotes than Shady. (Well and out of the three she has the best name!)
Finally, Molly Maltese, I've only recently begun to get to know her but she was very funny in my one interaction with her.
Okay to sum up:
Vote Lady Jas!
Vote Ms Helen!
Vote Anais Nin!
Vote Molly Maltese

A 3-way tie would have been cool. Better than being left behind. But hey, its a tough job and somebody has to do it.
Congrats to Andy (hope I'm not being too familiar). And to my freind and agency mate, Talia.
Going forward, turtledove vs Ms Parr is tough. Turtledove has been "bouncing" in and out since my first days in Sleuthville and I look forward to seeing what the future brings. Ms Parr has been a fairly recent addition to my circle. Her presence came quickly, with flair and style, and I am looking forward to working with her (a true Sleuth legend, I think) to see what she and I and the whole community can create together. So I must endorse Ms Parr.
* raising his glass and nodding politely, of course *
To the future!

The Endorsements as put forth by the illustrious pen of Madamoiselle Molly Maltese,
Oh, this contest is full of tough decisions! It vexes me just thinking about it! However, one has to make a decision and suck it up for the general to-do of the game, and so here are my endorsements, given lovingly to my dear friends.
While I adore turtledove and have known of him for a while, in this instance my loyalty lies with the delighful Ms Violet Parr. Flair and style are grand words to describe her, good show, Peter! Ms Parr is friendly, yet sophisticated. Her talents on the RP Stage speak for themselves, so much so that when she complimented my RPing I squealed like a little girl, for her praise is high praise indeed. :) She is charming, witty and delightful company. It is a dark day indeed when she is not at the forefront of such a competition. I think many will agree with me that she deserves nothing less than to continue on in March Madness.
Though I stand in awe of Rosamund Clifford and her writing abilities, not to mention her villain-hunting ones! I must put my endorsement with Marc Lacrimosa. He has been a member of Obelisk for quite some time, and is always there to help out a friend in need, and to burst on the scene, guns a-blazing in our many RPs. Vote for Marc!
LauraVo, my darling, I appreciate your sweet compliment. I have always had a rollicking good time reading your posts and speaking to you when the chance comes about. She is witty, friendly, and amazingly good-looking. You all must vote LauraVo.
BreitKat, though I've only spoken to her on a couple occasions, has been the epitome of sweet and helpful. She is a truly lovely lady, and there is no question that she should continue on. Even through the real-life complications that arise here and there, darling Breit has always stayed loyal to Sleuth. We are blessed to have her among our ranks.
There you have it, my endorsements for today. Good luck, my dears!

Well what can I say about my endorsements??
While I love Aknas to death and I think really highly of her because she has been so helpful to me and has been great to talk to and get to know as a player, I must endorse LauraVo. She has been with me for almost 2 years now and she is just one of the best. She is always willing to help the team out inside the agency, and she is always there to help newbies or even more experienced players.
She one hecka funny gal who always keeps me laughing . She is one of my really close friends! What would I do without talking to her daily...or hourly for that matter?? I shudder to think!!!
Breitkat is wonderful. She has always been there for me and has help me personally and my agency out numerous times. I love her wit and and personality. I'm so glad she's my friend and so glad she is still around to be an example to.
Vote LauraVo and Breitkat!!

... some people post a lot on the boards and dazzle us with their lightning sharp wit and dazzling repartee.
... some people hang out in chat and become their very own mini sleuth party.
... and some people... just play1
I know, who knew.
It's the hidden gems of Sleuthville, those that don't have the highest profile but who have consistently and lovingly played and contributed constructively to the game over a period of time, short or long, that always have my admiration and respect.
So it should come as no surprise that I dip my toes into the murky waters of player endorsements by, unashamedly, putting up my hand and saying:
VOTE 1 ROSAMUND CLIFFORD!
