I just got this in a PM.

Shady's Quote for da week:

"A man can't be too careful in the choice of his enemies. "

Oscar Wilde.

The sender's name was Shady. I immediately went to City Hall to check who it was from. It turns out that "Detective Shady" has a very old, very neglected licence of his own.

Let's hear it for Shady's appearance!

'Molotov' Parkowitz aint got a trace of hair on his head. Says one night a pal of his, for a lark mind you, laid down some glue on his 'tools of da trade'. Reckons one moment he was lobbin' one of his callin' cards in through some schleps front window and da next he's wakin up in da hospital wrapped up like King Tut. Heck of a lark...

S'kinda funny, coz Shady heard recently dat:

“Discretion is being able to raise your eyebrow instead of your voice.”

Guessin whoever said dat never met ol' Molotov

Can anyone give me a small hint as to whether we're supposed to be doing anything about these quotes, other than soaking up the wisdom?

If you PM Shady, he might tell you. In my opinion it is either just what it looks like or it is the way to a secret 3 or a promotion to moderator or a new faction or something bigger. Read the first letters of the words perhaps. Read it backwards. JUST FIND OUT!!!

Hehe I love conspiracy theories. I think it's highly unlikely to be the mod idea though, given how it's normally done.

Love the thought of it being secret number 3 that would be fun :)

Shady dips his lid to Ms Riza Hawkeye, a crafty broad who has taken the kudos as Sleuthville's resident Survivor.

Mind youse it reminds Shady of what his dear ol' mudda always taught him.

“Don't worry about life, you're not going to survive it anyway.”

Heck of a thing to hear as a bed-time story I admits, but I can't say I has ever forgot.

My respect to you and yours.

Shady.

I has seen dat da great debacle, I means March Madness, is upon Sleuthville again. Apparently someone has even entered yours truly. There aint no accountin' for da lengths some schleps'll go t'get into my good graces.

Just like Oscar Wilde, Shady reckons, 'popularity is the one insult I have never suffered.'

So Shady don't expect to get too far, and Shady don't care. Good luck to dose dat do.

My respect to youse and yours.

Shady.

Seen a lotta new faces round Sleuthville. Started realisin' dat some of dose new faces were just old faces spruced up a bit.

Course now Shady aint one to talk when it comes to faces. I got's me one of course, I aint like Jimmy 'da Wall' Shinkelheimer who got his countenance rearranged wid a steam press, (never cross yer Bookie, dats all I'm sayin') I just likes to keep mine in da shadows. But I think Ol' Shakespeare, despite him talkin funny like, had it right when he said:

“God has given you one face, and you make yourself another.”

I guess I wonder, when I see all dese brilliant disguises you is all wearin', what youse all have to hide.

My respect to youse and your families.

Shady.
