Hello all.
I'm fairly new to Sleuth and I thought I might share a little hobby of mine with you all. Here's something for that sad moment when the mysteries of the day are all done.

Thousands lay up gold within this house,
but no man made it.
Spears past counting guard this house,
but no man wards it.
What is it?

Was it an instruction?
Informative?
Random?

Was it telling the man something about the woman?

Was it saying something about the specific woman? Something that would cause anyone to shoot her? Any man? Any close relation to her?

Did she want to die? Was he attempting to help her in some way?

Ahh. That makes sense. Your questions were very lateral-like!

I think I need another correction. On reading this question a second time, I think I misunderstood it the first time:

Any close relation to her? No, not _any_ close relation.

Is the "message" something that would cause any normal person to shoot her under similar circumstances?

Is the sign something that the average person would find randomly and think "hey, that's a sign!"?

Was he angry with his wife? If so, was he angry before he saw the sign? Or did the sign infuriate him?

Was he attempting to kill her by shooting her? Would he have reasonable cause to do so under a court of law?

Is the "message" something that would cause any normal person to shoot her under similar circumstances? [That depends on how you define "normal". I would say, no.]

Is the sign something that the average person would find randomly and think "hey, that's a sign!"? [Yes, but not in the way you are probably thinking.]

Was he angry with his wife? [Yes] If so, was he angry before he saw the sign? [No] Or did the sign infuriate him? [Yes]

Was he attempting to kill her by shooting her? [Yes] Would he have reasonable cause to do so under a court of law? [Absolutely not]

Remind me... the sign was inside the car, right? But not on or in the dashboard? Was it in plain sight? Could people outside the car see the sign as well? Did the wife see it?

Was there a discernable amount of time between his seeing the sign and his shooting his wife? Or was it more of a knee-jerk reaction?
