Do you have what it takes to outlast all others? Do you think you can rise above the rest and stand out as the ultimate contender? Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to Survivor: Sleuthville!

10 Detectives enter, face off against each other in a different challenge every week, and the last left standing will be crowned Sleuth Noir Survivor! The winner will walk away with a one-year subscription to Sleuth Noir and bragging rights over the entire community. The rules are simple:

1. The first ten Detectives to post an entry will be entered and placed on two teams of five.

2. It's advisable to be subscribed. Some of the challenges may require travel, and if you can't participate, it's likely your team will vote you off at elimination. I won't bar anyone based on this, but it's your call.

3. The losing team at the end of each event will have to vote off one member. To do that each team member will submit a PM to me, which will remain anonymous with the name of the person he or she is voting for, and a short reason why. It can be as simple as-

Name: Heimlich VonVictor
Why: He didn't write any of the poem. It's no wonder we lost!

4. Challenges will be one week long and a winner will be announced at the end, in the event of a tie, a coin will be flipped.

5. Anyone may enter including mods, editors, or even Ben and Sunny themselves if they so choose.

6. The contest will begin when all ten detectives have entered and been placed on teams. It will conclude after nine weeks of elimination challenges.

That's all! Get out there and outwit, outplay, and outlast!

OK, sorry for my absence, just got th computer unpacked and internet hooked up, now to get the rest of the place put away.

Oh yeah, there is that little thing called an endorsement. Obviously I cannot endorse everyone who asked so I will go with the person who I got the request from first and my partner here in the VH part of the challenge.

Leopold Parr was unnerved by the size of the seemingly disturbed crowd that had gathered around in the early hours of the morning for his sister’s speech. He whispered to the determined woman dressed entirely in purple standing next to him on the podium. “Vi… perhaps this was not the best of ideas-”

“And yet,” She cut him midsentence sharply, “we must see this campaign through.”

She cleared her voice and began speaking. “My fellow members of Sleuthville, some of you may be shocked by this sudden news of me running for office, others, who know me better, may have seen this coming… but I assure you all it is very warranted…”

“Boo!” A stocky man was heard in the back of the crowd.

Miss Parr, shocked and bewildered, managed not to react and maintain her polite smile. “You are all competitors at heart. It is what we all share… what keeps our excitement for days on end as we continue to meet here and wonder who said what smart remark to whom and when: some of you aggressive with your competition, others seemingly passive but, nevertheless, persistent. Just as I have committed myself to this contest of will and wit, I must be true to myself and see it through to its very end.”

“STOP SPAMMING OUR MAILBOXES!” The man’s voice grew louder.

Violet swallowed what felt like a lump but pressed on. “I apologise on behalf of myself and fellow team members for being… well so vulgar in our direct requests for your votes…” Miss Parr looked sincere ‘…seemed to work more effectively than any other method one could employ…’ she continued under her breath.

“She’s gone mad!” The same man was heard laughing in the background.

Miss Parr glanced to Leopold and nodded ever so slightly. She then resumed her smile. Soon enough the man who kept interrupting her speech was tackled and discreetly removed from the crowd.

“Back to my agenda…” Miss Parr nodded to the crowd. “First things first! I believe in free speech for any and all in Sleuth!”
