sleuth theme?

What does advancing up in sleuth themes do for you? Can you skip a theme? (For example, I can afford to buy the theme for Cosa Nostra but I haven't gotten to circle of light yet.)

They're just collectibles that you can collect if you have the money to spare (and of course at least 15 points of standing for the faction ones). They don't do anything as far as I know, except for changing the background. I collect them and plan on getting all of them. The last three are a bit harder however as it takes some work unlocking them. And yes, you can skip back and forth between which you unlock as you wish. Have fun.

The dog doesn't have anything to do with the themes as far as I know.

Yes, i think Luc posted on the wrong thread, so don't you worry Leslie. Ency basically said it. Sleuth themes are basically collectibles, and serves as the background for the game only, from what i know.
