someone suggested i make this thread, since ,according to them, i was going off topic. This is for all the "oldies" who remember what it was like for them, when they first started playing. Or new ones, whichever. Whatever your fondest memory is....list it here.

Here is what I remember...of my very first detective...Makensie Brewer....Joining Behind Closed Doors, thanks to the legendary Dr Falcon Maltese...and him showing me the ropes. That was a great time in that agency. I was so full of enthusiasm, and hard work. Wanting to make a name for myself. Wantng to learn everything.

After showing me the ropes, another detective came along..Ms Cevasco. Another dedicated worker, like I was. I havent seen her a long while but she was a dear friend, and i still consider her that to this day. Falco left the agency to her and I....we became the Directors of Behind Closed Doors, and we made a great team. Then she left, and I was the only Directer. I enjoyed it....and it was successful but guess it got too hard running it by myself sooo....I met another detective, who also became a dear friend...R Anstett. He took me in under his wing of the agency he was in, and I never left his side lol Where he went, I went.

Those were the days where everything in this game was alive, and going strong. Everyone was competitive in the hunts, and just so much passion in the community. I also enjoyed helping the new ones joining.

I met alot of wonderful people .....people I will never forget!

So what are your fond memories of back then? The good ol' days :)

I haven't been here in a while (okay, forever!), due to the fact that John Q. Publik and I were busy having another mini-sleuth. Yes, there are two wee ones now, and yes, he'll probably come back soon.

I remember him dragging me here, kicking and screaming, telling me how great it was. And I also remember him having to drag me off of here, kicking and screaming, because it was so great and I was addicted. I also remember having to pull him away from the Daily Pub Quizzes so he could change a poopy diaper.

I remember joining my first agency (OMEGA), the launch of the AV hunts, and my obvious newbie excitement at joining in on my first treasure hunt. Hopefully I'll be able to justify subscribing again, because I miss this place.

Thought I'd follow in Lady Jas' footsteps and stir this back up to the top.

I loved re-reading this thread. Brought back so many memories. Werber hahahahaha... such drama. Sleuthgirl Ciara <3 <3 <3. And all the other things that I never would have remembered if I didn't read this.

I have two memories I will share:

PM Bombs. :-D For people that weren't around, PMs used to be pop-ups so as soon as someone sent you a PM, you would get a pop-up box with the PM in it on your screen and you would read it and then close it and it would go away forever. There was no mail filing system. In London, there emerged a concept of PM Bombing during treasure hunts. I think it was between SMRT, al-Quahirah (sad), and Hitchhikers. While we were competing with each other in THs, we would see who was online from the other teams and send them dozens of PMs so they had to constantly close a PM every few seconds while trying to solve their cases. Hehe. But sadly, due to Secret Squirrel's badgering of Ben about getting a fancy pants PM system, PM Bombs suffered a sad death.

I also do remember the time I laughed the hardest here. Of course it involved crunchpatty. It was the annual Sleuth March Madness and somehow a few jabs between me and crunch resulted in a representative from the Betty Ford Clinic signing up for Sleuth and me becoming the President of Laos for a little bit. Good times :-) I was laughing for a few hours, I think because I just didn't expect it and it was so damn funny.

I remember when Sleuthers went ON and ON and ON about being able to own ponies, until that glorious day when Ben finally added them to the game.

Wait, actually I don't remember him adding them. Must have been after I left.

*Checks Sleuthville for pony droppings*

REALLY?
Jeez, man, it's been like 6 YEARS and there STILL aren't any ponies? What gives? I figured I'd come back and Biggie and Crunch would have learned animal husbandry (and, also, what animal husbandry REALLY means) just so they could corner the market on breeding sparkling toy ponies that sing show tunes and attack Drewbies on sight.

Also, something about knifeboots.

This has been your bi-annual return of Serges. See you in 2014.

You don't have to run off Serges. The Drewbies don't live here anymore. Stick around. There seems to be some sort of mysterious force pulling us all back. No telling who is coming to the party next!
